RESTAURANT: Il Cavallo Scosso This is the second time I've been fortunate enough to return to taste Chef Enrico Pivieri's cuisine, and once again the experience proved both surprising and completely convincing. This time, instead of dinner, my partner and I chose to go for lunch on Saturday, March 7, 2026. The splendid sunny day allowed us to fully enjoy the air-conditioned veranda, a very pleasant and bright space that made lunch particularly relaxing. Unfortunately, I don't remember all the dishes from our previous visit precisely: there were eight of us, and we shared numerous samples from the various courses. However, I remember very well the quality of the cuisine, which had already proven refined, balanced, and meticulously crafted, both in its presentation and in its aromatic and flavorful expression. This time, too, the experience lived up to expectations: Location: simple and elegant, with a refined yet never formal atmosphere Service: attentive, professional, and yet friendly Wine list: essential but well-constructed, featuring quality producers and an interesting selection of organic wines Bread and breadsticks: excellent, with various varieties that pair well with the meal Appetizers Ceviche: fresh, balanced, and very elegant in its contrasts. Fried egg yolk: delicious and perfectly executed. First courses Tajarin al nero: intense and enveloping. Gnocchi with baby octopus: a dish rich in character and very well-balanced. Second courses Pluma: juicy and cooked with great precision. Fried rabbit: crispy, light, and truly surprising. Desserts Three-chocolate pill: elegant and satisfying. Sunrise: fresh and perfect to end the experience. The coffee and final small pastry were amazing. The bill was absolutely reasonable considering the overall quality of the experience. In conclusion, a cuisine that demonstrates technique, personality, and great attention to the ingredients. Compliments to the chef and the entire staff: we'll definitely be back very soon. Good Tradizione menu but very small portions: focaccia necessary (tried the gorgonzola one: good). Fair choice among wines. Average quality for the price.

I saw an ad online and liked the photos. Being in Asti for work, we went there for lunch. Reservations were easy with an automated system. The welcome was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely and warm. It's a shame there were no tablecloths, which is our preference. But it's understandable and doesn't affect our rating because the tables are very clean. The service was impeccable, and the dishes were beautiful and, above all, delicious. The price was reasonable for the quality. The location is a bit out of the way, but worth it. Recommended to everyone.

Even though the dishes aren't exactly cheap, the price is fair for what you get, especially considering the quality of the ingredients. Lots of little touches that make a difference and pay off at the end of the meal. Thank you.

I visited this Michelin-starred restaurant on December 2nd. The location leaves much to be desired on the outside, but inside it's quite intimate (it seats 15-20 people) but without any particular interior design flair. As for the experience, I'd call it a "wannabe": the dishes, the story, and the selections are all very refined, but every dish I tried was lacking something: of the four "amouse-buche" (a kind of mousse-buche), only one (the tomato with tuna sauce) was truly good, the fried chicken cube was bland due to the meat, the BBQ sauce too "bulky," the fermented garlic pancake was forgettable, and the cheese macaron was too hard. For starters, we had the fried egg, which was a good, fairly balanced dish but lacked an explosion of flavor (the most interesting thing was the internal cooking of the egg, which literally exploded when opened). The gnocchi with baby octopus, however, were too full of tomato and decidedly overcooked. The coffee menu, with its rack of pastries, was interesting. The service was attentive, but perhaps this was due to the fact that for most of the evening we were the only table, which was too pushy. The breads and pizza by the slice were also good but not exceptional (which, given the overall tone the place wants to convey, I would remove from the menu to give it a more precise and distinct fine dining feel). They're on the right track, but that extra touch of flavor and preparation is needed to surpass what was a sufficient experience.

If you're looking for new flavors, this is the right restaurant. Everything was excellent, from the appetizer to the dessert! The veal with tuna sauce was among the best I've ever had! Even the fried egg, which I'd never tried, was exceptional! The place is cozy and inviting, with soft lighting and background music. The staff was professional, courteous, and very attentive. Compliments to the chef and all the staff!!! Highly recommended!

We returned for dinner after a year, and our expectations were not lacking. Welcoming place, impeccable service, and qualified and friendly staff. It's a shame we're so far away, but I'll definitely be back.
