FANTASTIC truffle tasting dinner! Delicious and generous portions. Very affordable: €35 with appetizer, two first courses (homemade pasta), three meats (wild boar, lamb, sliced beef), side dishes, and desserts. Excellent Montefalco wine, very kind and friendly staff. The hosts of the Il Moro Guest House on Via del Ponte in Sellano (where we had a wonderful stay) recommended this place to us. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try authentic, locally sourced dishes. Highly recommended! I'll be back whenever I can. :)

Very spacious restaurant. Spectacular truffle specialties, especially the frittata. Tasting menu for the truly hungry. I think the cooking time for the fresh pasta is a bit of a problem, but that's subjective. Friendly and fast service despite the large seating capacity. Recommended.

This restaurant has always been famous, but I'd never been because it's not easy to get to.
We had a table of eight and chose the seven-course tasting menu. Everything was delicious, and by the end, we left the table feeling like we'd eaten too much, but you can also take away what you can't finish. The only flaw with this menu is the two first courses, both with truffles but practically the same, only the pasta shape differs (one also includes asparagus, but it gets lost in the mix, while the other doesn't).
Regarding the location, the older part is definitely very charming and quaint, while the newer room is far too hot, noisy, chaotic, and impersonal, but suitable for large tables.
Overall, excellent value for money, definitely worth a try.

Il Castoro offers excellent value for money. Traditional cuisine, mostly made with ingredients from the Sibillini Mountains, is perfect for those who enjoy first and second courses, with truffle-based specialties. Try the grilled meats: wild boar, lamb, and pork. The wood-fired pizza, which tastes like a biscuit, is excellent. Martina makes desserts without overdoing the sugar. I recommend the Zuppa Inglese, Tiramisu, and Fresh Cake with Ricotta and Sour Cherries or Chocolate.

I'm back after years.
I found the location improved, but a little less truffle in the frittata and tagliatelle.
The tasting menu is truly amazing (appetizer, two first courses, three second courses, side dish, dessert, coffee, and liqueur, drinks not included).
If you're not a big fan of food, I recommend ordering a menu for two.
The à la carte menu is extensive and the quality/price ratio is excellent.
I highly recommend this place, but make sure to book on holidays or during notoriously busy days.

We were passing by today and we were satisfied. Tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffles, lamb chops, baked potatoes, trout with truffles. What can I say? Everything was delicious, compliments to the chefs and waiters. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, I only took one photo.
