Stopped on the road. Good parking. Had a pork fillet with mashed potatoes and a glass of red. Great food. Fresh wv and otherwise cozy atmosphere both in the garden and inside.

It's the coziest place, and really the flavors are like if your grandmother cooked for you. You gotta either try the grilled beef tongue or the venison stew. One of the best meals I've eaten in my trip to Italy.ñ, definitely worth a visit or a detour from your Tuscany trip.

We’ve dined at Osteria del Castagno multiple times over the past month, and it’s quickly become one of our favorite spots in Tuscany. The service is consistently excellent, warm, attentive, and welcoming every time. The food is classic Tuscan cuisine prepared perfectly, from start to finish, with fresh ingredients and incredible flavor. Their wine selection is outstanding and complements every meal beautifully. We try to get here as often as possible. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed!

Very nice place for dinner! The food was very delicious. There are two pages like 10–15 dishes but everthing is very good. The service was 7/10 but maybe we had bad luck. We order a T-bone stake that was 65euro/kg and at the end in the check was 85euro/kg and when I asked about the difference the lady said that she told us they don’t have the 65 anymore and only the 85 one. She didn’t tell us and the overall price different was only 24 euros so no big deal only not tip for her :) We also ordered a coffee and a tea any the end and took like over 30 min to bring it… 4 people having a tartar (amazing!) a T-bone, a dish of the day (beef with green pepper, no price in the menu and we found tat the end it was 30 euro, a bottle of red wine, 2 coffee, 2 deserts and one tea: 199,6 euros

Excellent food, good service, smaller portions. However definitely worth it.

Riaperto “Il Castagno”, storica locanda di campagna, con una gestione tutta nuova, giovane e preparata. Grande ospitalità e cortesia. L’Osteria offre formule per pranzo e cena (entrambe provate); ingredienti di prima qualità e alta professionalità culinaria. Raccomandati: lingua alla griglia, risotto agli agrumi, penne al lampredotto, uovo croccante. Insuperabile il piccione in carcassa. Piatti tradizionali sapientemente rivisitati dal giovane chef. Interni accoglienti arredati con sobria eleganza e fantastici esterni adatti per una scampagnata in famiglia. Grazie a Dario, Camilla e tutto lo staff.

Posto molto carino, personale giovane e molto preparato. Cucina ricercata con piatti del territorio, tartare eccezionale! Il cameriere (anche barman) estremamente preparato. Consigliato
