I went with my partner and mother-in-law at the end of May. It was an excellent dining experience at a place run by young people who clearly put passion into what they do, from the kitchen to the service. Refined dishes, a delight for the palate and the soul! We left truly satisfied. We'll be back soon with friends to share this gastronomic experience with them. The prices are in line with the service and the dishes presented.

It's under new management, and I hadn't tried it yet. I have to say, we had a great time! We were immediately welcomed by the friendly and welcoming staff. The rustic, minimalist setting is very charming, and the dishes are truly delicious! (The cold cuts are excellent; we fell in love with the sorpassata... it melted in our mouths!) The prices, for the quality, are truly excellent! We'll definitely be back!

Very inviting and friendly staff

Two of us went there for dinner and arrived 20 minutes before the official opening time (we hadn't checked the opening hours). Nevertheless, we were politely seated and immediately offered drinks. We shared a cheese platter for starters, followed by a main course each. Both the food and the service were excellent. The outdoor area is beautifully designed and offers plenty of space. The main course portion wasn't particularly large, but combined with the starter, it was perfectly adequate.

An unforgettable dining experience! Osteria del Castagno is hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by its vintage and romantic atmosphere – a charming spot tucked away among a few houses, like a little village square. It felt intimate, warm, and truly welcoming. I had the best tagliatelle of my life – perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and made with fresh, local ingredients. Every dish was a delight. The starters were beautifully balanced with crunch, softness, and just a hint of spice. The wine paired wonderfully with the meal, and the desserts were simply delicious. A true gem that captures the soul of Italian cuisine. Don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

Good location, convenient on the road, excellent Tuscan focaccias

These guys' new management is amazing! The atmosphere is very welcoming, quiet, and well-kept. The cuisine is spectacular, with fabulous dishes! The pigeon is a masterclass!

I visited here shortly after the change of management. The atmosphere is fresh and youthful, yet welcoming and homey. As a Tuscan, it's always nice to find traditional and authentic places, which are increasingly rare in our area. The food is nothing short of amazing; in every dish you can taste the chef's passion and creativity, who manages to bring a touch of originality to even the most traditional dishes. I've been for lunch at least four times and found a menu that, along with the classics, always offers a few new dishes for those who are curious. The lunch menu is very casual, at more than fair prices and also suitable for those looking for a business lunch. I also decided to try the dinner menu, which offers a different and slightly more elaborate menu than the lunch menu. I was truly amazed by the quality of the dishes offered; in each one you can sense the attention to detail that goes into them, from French to Italian cuisine and beyond. All at very low prices for the quality offered. I've been to several Michelin-starred restaurants, and Osteria il Castagno holds its own against most of them, keeping costs low for the customer. The staff, including the owners, are all young and courteous, always willing to take the time to explain the dishes and attentive to customer service. In addition to lunch and dinner, they also offer excellent breakfasts, aperitifs, and snacks!

Riaperto “Il Castagno”, storica locanda di campagna, con una gestione tutta nuova, giovane e preparata. Grande ospitalità e cortesia. L’Osteria offre formule per pranzo e cena (entrambe provate); ingredienti di prima qualità e alta professionalità culinaria. Raccomandati: lingua alla griglia, risotto agli agrumi, penne al lampredotto, uovo croccante. Insuperabile il piccione in carcassa. Piatti tradizionali sapientemente rivisitati dal giovane chef. Interni accoglienti arredati con sobria eleganza e fantastici esterni adatti per una scampagnata in famiglia. Grazie a Dario, Camilla e tutto lo staff.
