Exaggerated portions but everything good

Quando veniamo in Abruzzo ci fermiamo sempre al Carro. Abbiamo preso dei primi perché sono abbondanti e buonissimi. I ravioli e le pappardelle erano squisite. Anche i dolci erano buoni. Il personale è gentile. Prezzi nella media. Consigliato!

Locale dall'aspetto caldo e curaro. Ottimo ravioloni ricotta e spinaci accompagnati da un calice di vino rosato. Arrosticini gustosi.. un po' salati ..ma dal gusto convincente. Personale gentile ed accogliente.

The first courses were good and generous. For the second courses, the quality of the steak was good but the 3/400 gram portion was practically only bone-in. The steak was just half a finger thick and due to its reduced thickness it didn't come out rare even though I asked for it

Restaurant that disappointed expectations a bit. The service is very fast, nothing to say, even if as soon as I sat down I noticed the glass was full of limescale marks, I asked the waiter if he could replace it and he brought another one that was worse than the first..... Oh well I wrote out a sorry, the first course was excellent, nothing to say, plentiful and of excellent quality. then we ordered 1 mixed roast and 1 roast lamb. Here the quantities left a lot to be desired as we only ate fat.... or rather we discarded it. You can't serve 2 courses with such an exaggerated amount of fat. When you grill you have to eliminate it or if you leave it so as not to make the roast too dry, you leave just the right amount. In practice the second one was all wasted. It was described to me by an acquaintance from Sulmona as an excellent barbecue place but it was a disappointment.

Excellent food unbelievable value. This is a local place where you can get the local flavor and experience the local people. Not really a tourist place. Best place in town.
