Il Capriccio In Milano

Wonderful hotel, very cozy, clean, very beautiful design, very tasty breakfast, all the people are very kind, welcoming. I am delighted for this money, So it is generally a gift. I do not know why this hotel is not given five stars. Probably because deputies hang out there. And that means so, Well, good, and it will be cheaper for us. So go there, you will be happy.

My opinion about this hotel is pretty neutral. I can't say I liked it, but I can't say that I didn't like it. Even though the hotel has its own style, I found it to be overdone and, to be honest, awkward for Italy, Milano. It is ornate, with heavy wooden details, thick curtains, and wall chandeliers. All of this consumes space, and I felt a bit claustrophobic at one point. One evening, we went for a quick drink in a bar, and I felt like I was a member of some sort of old club: tables with lines, the waiter dressed in a full wedding outfit. It was like too much. No fun. No soul. Or too much soul. I gave a 5-star service rating to a super-friendly lady named Laziza. She was extremely helpful and gave us her 100%. The location is okay. It is right beside the Central Station and the majority of Car rental places. It is a bit far walking distance from the old city. You can definitely take a subway to get to the heart of Milano. It is actually a very comfortable way to navigate from and to a hotel. There is a cool coffee bar beside the hotel (turn left and walk a few meters). Overall, the experience was ok.

Have had a lovely stay at Doria, staff are excellent, central and great for trains, they kindly upgraded our room to a suite for my wife's birthday before we arrived. If you like 40s style your in for a treat. Good value for money. Can highly recommend it!.

We stayed from May 23rd to 26th. Upon arrival at 10:00 a.m., we were able to get our room as requested (high floor for the view). Thanks to Flavio at reception. The hotel is very well located, 10 minutes from the central train station and the bus station for Malpensa Airport. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The decor gives them a pleasant retro style. Good breakfast.

Excellent customer service, clean and comfortable room, AC, bathroom. Excellent breakfast, plenty of choices of food items . Desk helpful in providing guidance to metro, restaurants and places to visit.

We had a great experience at this hotel. Appreciated the location and that we were able to leave our bags there during the day while we explored Milan. The staff are terrific!

Hotel close to two metro stations, excellent noise insulation, comfortable bed, a bit old-fashioned design, but authentic. Very good breakfast

Good in general, some details could be reviewed and modernized such as the taps in the bathroom, some wallpaper and the cleanliness of the bathroom access door. The breakfast assortment is excellent, although the buffet layout could be reviewed because there is a wait even if there are not many people in the breakfast room.

We stayed at the Doria Grand Hotel for one night. The lobby area was beautiful and welcoming. The reception staff was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. I’m not much of a breakfast person but what I ate was satisfying. On my next visit to Milan I will definitely return to the Doria Grand Hotel. Very close to the main train station.
