We were greeted with a smile and a happy atmoshpere upon arrival. We are very independent travellers and make our own arrangements to go around town, but we noticed that the staff would have been available at all times at the reception. The room was kept tidy during our stay and the breakfast room staff was attentative.
The breakfast room was big enough to accommodate many guests. As a scandinavian traveller I could find all needed breakfast items.
There was a mini fridge in the room for drinks and snacks. The air-conditioning worked well and was adjustable. No complaints. The hotel has undergone some modernization and was comfortable. The location of the hotel was convinient for walking around town, and a couple of metro station are within a couple of blocks. The location was within and easy access reach Central railway station "Centrale". There you can reach busses and trains to explore beyond Milan also. (access to hop on tourist tours like Get your guide activities of hop-on-hop-off-tours).
There were a few stores near hotels, but as the metro is near the hotel, and the public transport is very easy to use , a shopaholic could probably find all nice stores of the city easily, and then after get a good nights sleep at the more relaxed and quiet part of town. All major sights are a metro ride away. I would happily visit again.

Great hotel in a convenient location near Milano Centrale. Rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful—special thanks to Giovanni at the bar and restaurant for his excellent hospitality. Overall, great value for money and a pleasant stay!

Hotel Review – Stay in July 2025
1. Location
The hotel is centrally located, just a 5-minute walk from a metro station. There's an underground parking garage right next door where we were able to park our vehicle safely, which was very convenient and comfortable.
2. Cleanliness & Room Amenities
We had a suite, with high-quality furnishings and a very clean feel.
• Air conditioning and a refrigerator are available
• Large TV
• Kettle and a spacious bathroom
The furnishings are in the premium segment, tasteful and modern. A clear strength of the hotel.
3. Comfort
• Sleep quality: very good
• Noise level: quiet, ideal for a restful sleep despite the central location
4. Service
Check-in was quick and professional.
The staff speaks Italian and some German, was friendly and helpful. Several service staff members are available in the lobby, and they seemed very attentive.
5. Breakfast from 7:00 a.m.
The breakfast is well-stocked with a solid selection:
• Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs
• Cheese and cold cuts
• Bacon, sausages
• Fresh vegetables (tomatoes)
• Fruit salad, large fruit basket
• Yogurt, fruit yogurt, croissants, cake
• Cornflakes, crispbread, salad
What was missing:
For health-conscious guests, an expansion would be desirable:
• Oatmeal, spelt flakes, oat bran
• Chia seeds, quark
• Nuts (e.g., cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, trail mix)
• Dark bread
• Cream cheese
Overall breakfast rating: Good, but with room for improvement in the "healthy food" category.

The price was absolutely justified for the quality offered. The amenities, location, and service were all in keeping.

The lobby is high-quality and stylishly designed. There's a pleasant atmosphere, with many service staff members visibly present and actively caring for the guests' well-being – a harmonious overall impression.

Lovely hotel. Felt truly like a 4-star hotel. There were some minor annoyances, but overall we had a great stay at this hotel.
BEAUTIFUL ROOMS
The rooms were so elegant and looked recently renovated. The temperature control system in the room worked well and we had no issues.
GOOD ROOM CLEANING
The room cleaning service was done well and there is nothing to complain.
VERY FRIENDLY RECEPTION
All the receptionists we encountered at this hotel were really friendly and helped us checkin and checkout smoothly.
BREAKFAST IS OKAY
There's not too many healthy options in the breakfast for vegans or vegetarians, but overall it was okay. Would be nice if they had some nuts and dried berries as well in the breakfast.
VERY GOOD PRICE
We booked the rooms from the hotel website for a good price. Again, nothing to complain.

First of all, the hotel is quiet, located on a street with little traffic, although the perpendicular streets are very busy. Close to the metro and the central station with buses, trains, also the metro (you can get everywhere) and good food. The hotel is clean. The staff is nice and helpful, everyone speaks excellent English. The breakfasts are modest but sufficient during a stay of several days. This hotel is a good choice and we were very pleased. The prices are great for such a good location and conditions. I recommend it.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel Doria in Milan for two nights, at a cost of 200 euros per night. A significant amount, which raises high expectations – largely unmet.
The location is excellent, an indisputable point: central, well served by metro, trains and public transport. The hotel also has a garage, but it is good to know that it is paid separately (30 euros per day) – so the actual cost of the stay increases further.
The real strength of the structure is the staff: extremely kind, welcoming and professional, capable of handling every request with courtesy. The presence of a multilingual staff makes check-in and assistance very smooth even for those arriving from abroad.
The rooms, on the other hand, are not up to the price: classic furnishings, but old and tired, with obvious signs of aging.
The cleanliness is only partial: clean linen, but bathroom and surfaces superficially cared for. Disconcerting that on the second night the bathroom was not even cleaned.
Furthermore, the bathroom equipment is minimal: no hairdryer or courtesy kit, only a bottle of shampoo and a generic shower gel.
The breakfast is disappointing: little variety, barely sufficient quality. And the most questionable thing is that to improve it you have to pay extra - truly inexplicable for a four-star hotel.
In short, the stay does not justify the asking price. Net of the good location and the kindness of the staff, everything else is well below expectations for a four-star hotel: dated rooms, superficial cleanliness, minimal equipment, poor breakfast and absurd supplements.
Paying 200 euros a night plus 30 for garage to receive a similar service is excessive and not very transparent.
The impression is that the structure rests on its strategic position and on foreign tourists passing through, completely neglecting quality, attention to detail and standards of hospitality.
