Elegant hotel, very helpful and professional staff, an experience to repeat

Very friendly and helpful staff, they helped with various issues. Good breakfast. The hotel is very well-connected, close to the main train station and two different metro lines. The rooms are large and comfortable. P.S. Many thanks to Flavio at the front desk for his friendly service and assistance with many unusual issues.

Connect to subway not complex. Hotel is clean and staff is friendly. Breakfast is excellence. Staff is really helpfull and 2 months later sended me my invoice no any trauble. Really thank you.

The hotel has the feel of old equipment and furniture. However, it has large and spacious rooms. Small selection for breakfast. The location is great, as it is within walking distance of the train and subway.

Decent hotel. You can tell it's from the 1900s, very well built, but unfortunately it hasn't been renovated. Good location. It's a shame there was a lot of construction going on just outside, which left a lot of dirt.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night. It's near the Central Station, making it an excellent location for convenient travel. The area is well-served by metro, buses, and trams. The hotel is decorated in Art Nouveau style. The lobby is beautiful, with carpets, armchairs, and warm lighting that lends an elegant feel. Our room on the 10th floor had a beautiful view of Milan's rooftops. The room was large and well-maintained, with retro-style furnishings. The bathroom was large, but windowless. The only downside was the sink drain: it was slow, and it seemed like it wasn't draining properly, as if it were even partially clogged. The breakfast was excellent. Recommended.

We booked the Doria Grand after reading that it has one of the largest repeat customer bases in Milan. And honestly, the moment we arrived, we completely understood why. The décor was an absolute dream for us: rich, old-world charm with a delightfully quirky edge that felt utterly sublime. It’s unapologetically opulent, but in the most fabulous way. An irresistible Art Deco-meets-1980s blend that somehow works perfectly. There’s even a subtle Wes Anderson-style whimsy to the place. The details are what really made us swoon: the gorgeous high lacquer room doors, the stunning marquetry, and those quilted walls. Just wow. And the bathrooms! The marble, the top-quality fittings (even though slightly dated)… every element reinforced that luxurious, curated feel. And yes, like all true old-world luxury, it comes with a few little foibles. Not faults so much as endearing quirks: the kind of slightly imperfect, lived-in touches that remind you this is a place with history and personality, not a formulaic modern box. For us, those small idiosyncrasies only added to the charm and made the whole experience feel even more authentic. Something to smile at, not something to criticise The staff across the hotel were exceptional, but one person truly made our stay unforgettable: Giovanni, who runs the bar. He was an absolute delight. Effortlessly elegant, warm, witty, and the definition of a consummate professional. He’s a genuine asset to the hotel, and we honestly can’t praise him highly enough. We’ll absolutely be back to the Doria Gran, and we already can’t wait.

The apartment is located on Via Doria, very conveniently located from Milan Central Station. Beautifully renovated, clean, and welcoming.

An interesting 4 star hotel. Was surprised as it was quite basic - we had stayed in a 4 star the night previous in Venice and received a fully stocked mini bar, complimentary water, coffee, tea and biscuits. The towels were quite thing bar the shower towel. Shampoo and body wash provided. The breakfast was nice, good selection of cereal, pastries, meats and cheeses etc. The staff we encountered were all very friendly. Should we visit Milan again, we would stay elsewhere.
