Fabulous spot in Perugia ( just off the Piazza IV Novembre), tucked away and well covered by awnings. Food is excellent with a different and inspired menu. Pasta is superb but try other things - soufflé di Pecarino for example. Staff were great and didn't hurry us so we lingered and enjoyed some Vin Santo. Great lunch.

It was incredible experience ! The food is very delicious and not really expensive for the quality. Waiters and waitresses speak very good English and were so sweet ! Thank you for this moment and see you soon!

In Perugia, very central, decent food, but the IGP white veal fillet with porcini mushrooms, I asked for it to be rare/medium, was difficult to chew (I don't recommend it). The Chianina carpaccio marinated in herbs with truffle zabaglione was appetizing, although the zabaglione seemed closer to Dijon mustard to me.

We chose Il Cantinone for a dinner as a couple and the experience was truly impeccable. The external location is quiet and very pleasant, perfect for a relaxing evening a few steps from the central square of Perugia. We started with a simply delicious truffle meat tartare, followed by umbricelli alla norcina: a traditional dish executed to perfection, truly delicious. All accompanied by attentive service, with friendly and always available staff. A place that we recommend with enthusiasm and to which we will definitely return!

In vacanza a Perugia cercavamo qualcosa che proponesse cucina locale. Il cantinone si è prestato magnificamente a questa ricerca. Abbiamo ordinato della pasta tipica condita con crema di pecorino salsiccia e tartufo, una zuppa di lenticchie e cavolo nero, e una tagliata di vitello che abbiamo diviso in due. Dolce acqua e vino. Servizio attento e veloce con nota di merito per Gabriel che ha operato il servizio del vino in maniera impeccabile mantenendo un profilo di cortese simpatia. Il conto perfettamente in linea con ciò che si è ordinato e per la qualità proposta. Nella mia prossima gita a Perugia (che so già che ci sarà) Il Cantinone sarà un punto di riferimento.

20/07/2025: Excellent location right in front of the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli. The menu is very unique; we ordered stewed shelled snails, grilled lamb, and spaghetti alla chitarra, but there are also dishes with local truffles. Extremely authentic flavors, a relaxed atmosphere, and a wide selection of wines. Definitely recommended if you want to try new flavors in a quiet setting.

15/07/2025: I discovered this restaurant by chance during a visit to Spoleto, and it turned out to be a real surprise! The service is excellent: the owner is extremely welcoming and immediately conveys her passion for her work. The location is charming and well-kept, both inside and out, creating a truly pleasant atmosphere. The food is good, with absolutely average prices. The appetizers and first courses are highly recommended: the handmade pasta is a real treat! The tagliatelle with wild boar sauce in particular are a must-try; flavorful and perfectly balanced. I'll definitely be back!
14/07/2025: Cantina de Corvi is a cosy and nice restaurant in a quiet area of Spoleto historical centre and offers also a very picturesque outdoor area. The food offer is varied enough with some interesting and unusual combination of traditional local dishes with a twist of novelty. The service is warm and kind even though the waiting time can be a bit long. Recommended.
