Historic tavern that changed management about a year ago.
I had been before and hadn't been bad.
However, with the new course I must say that things have clearly improved.
And in particular they have improved on the food front.
I had one of the best Bolognese cutlets ever.
Excellent pasta.
The tiramisu still one of the best I've ever eaten.
Courteous and professional service.
Comfortable and traditional style environment.
Perhaps the seats were a bit uncomfortable.
I don't give 5 stars for two reasons:
The waiting times were really a little too long.
One hour to receive the first course and three quarters of an hour for the second.
It was Sunday and the place was full but in any case we objectively waited too long.
The traditional dishes were all superb but the only one who took dishes from the creative menu (prawn tartare and green spaghetti etc) did not like the combinations and tastes at all.
In any case, from my point of view, an excellent experience and I will certainly return.

It was our last night in Italy for our honeymoon. First, they brought out a small aperitif of vegetable quiche with whipped pumpkin, saffron and toasted sesame seeds on top. It was just two bites, but it was absolutely delicious, a good sign of things to come. For primi, we stuck to the traditional menu - ordered the ricotta and truffle ravioli with butter and sage and the tagliatelle al ragu, both were amazing. We shared an entree of tagliata (steak) with porcini mushrooms and paired with a side of spinach. The salt factor throughout the meal was perfect and the flavors were impressive. We decided this was our most favorite meal in Italy during our stay. For dessert, we had the apple tart which had amarone (I believe) instead of cinnamon, which was really nice and it was dusted with coco powder and powdered sugar. Sooo yummy! The service was great and the spot itself is cozy and historic.

Well, I've wanted to go there for a long time, but let's say it didn't exceed expectations. Small but welcoming place, informal but attentive service. There is a traditional menu and an innovative one from which we drew. Some things are certainly good, but innovating for the sake of innovating is not always a winning choice.
Two appetizers, one very good, the other with a poached egg saw the protagonist covered in other flavours. Two first courses, well prepared and well served but in the risotto (nice idea of the two rices) the saffron was really too prevalent, the rabbit was indistinguishable, in the other the pumpkin was overwhelming. The second courses were better dishes, even if we found the purée a little too liquid and the guinea fowl that I imagined was more of a protagonist. Prices high but normal

Welcoming place, carefully looked after from the table linen to the plate, to the friendliness and attention to the customer. Excellent food, how many times have I stayed in Bologna for the first time I ate fantastic ravioli, I savored the taste of each course.

Wish I could give this place 5+ ⭐️s for the warm and attentive service and the Michelin worthy creative dishes we experienced off the non-traditional menu. The flavours of the ingredients shone through even with the simple side dishes like the spinach and grilled veggies. Easily our best thus far on our Italian vacation

What a lucky find! This restaurant is situated on the outskirts of Bologna quite far from the touristic heart of the city, but worth a detour. As the name mentions this lovely traditional restaurant is decorated by canons.
We loved the cozy vibe and the friendly service. The food was really great also. I loved the octopus. Most of the dishes on the menu are quite cheap. A meal for four people, wine included, set us back 111.50 euro. Value for money!
