The restaurant is located in the first Apennines of Reggio Emilia, it is located on the ground floor of a beautiful house probably inhabited by the same managers upstairs. In fact, you enter by opening the handle of the original wooden entrance door. The internal environment is pleasant and well-kept and we are immediately welcomed by the manager who confirms the feeling of being in a place with a family atmosphere. The only note, which justifies the lack of the fifth star, is given by the fact that the space between the tables is really small.
We ate appetizers of fried polenta, truffle and pancetta (both excellent), followed by tagliatelle with truffle and gnocchi with porcini mushrooms. The fresh pasta is homemade and tastes like excellent quality mushrooms and truffles. Is it the portions? Definitely robust, capable of satisfying even the hungriest. In summary: we found it by chance but we ate really well and spent the right amount.

Apparently we didn't think we were eating sooooooooo well. Super mega delicious food, very versatile and exclusive. Things you don't often find on menus. Service is excellent, everything is perfect. This is how you enjoy eating out. We'd love to come back. Thank you very much

Chosen by chance, while waiting for our rooms to be ready, it turned out to be a very pleasant discovery.
Family atmosphere, it feels like entering a friend's house. Excellent dishes, both those on the list and those off the menu, all based on the seasonality of the ingredients.
Impeccable and very informal service.
Very honest price for what was ordered.
Highly recommended.

Restaurant recommended to us by the B&B where we were staying and unfortunately we didn't have a good time. When you arrive in the car park it seems closed from the outside, the internal environment I think needs to be done with some furnishing work starting from the light which makes everything cold, among other things it is very noticeable that it was an apartment transformed into a restaurant where even in one point There are still the kitchen tiles in the room... We were there on Saturday evening, there were 4 of us and 1 couple and among other things with the television on which was broadcasting the Serie A match with volume... the only positive thing is the paper and wine cellar which perhaps wasn't kept very well... the bill was a little above average
the owner is not very sociable.

We choose this place because we love mushrooms and truffles. The dishes chosen, all based on truffles, lived up to our expectations, all very good. Top prized black truffle!! Prices displayed and well communicated in order to avoid misunderstandings. Fast and attentive service. A particular location that you may like or not, but for our tastes it should not be an added value or a limit. We will definitely be back to try the mushrooms too.

Traditional restaurant in Viano. Hospitality and friendliness. Perfect if you don't want to have confusion. The only thing I would recommend is a little less butter, but overall everything was really tasty, from the fried mushrooms to the tagliatelle and the Chianina fillet.
