The restaurant Il Caldaro is located in the locality of La Bruna, a hamlet of Perugia.
The structure and the rooms are elegant and refined. The staff is helpful and kind.
Regarding the food, it can be said that some reinterpretations of local dishes are excessive and far from local flavors.
4 stars because dining in a group in the "limonaia" makes the evening pleasant.
Menu: as you can also see on the website, varied and pleasant.
Bill: if we consider the type of this type of structure, in line. Certainly not cheap and above average if you consider the location, panoramic view, etc.
However recommended.

Absolutely delicious pizza and grilled octopus. Friendly, English speaking staff. No reservation was required. The location, building exterior and interior are beatiful. Very clean toilet. Large parking. I highly recommend to eat with your bae, friends or family. Moderate prices.

Very nice and welcoming location, fast and friendly service. Good food but with different quantities depending on the course (e.g. carbonara right in the portion, while the suckling pig is poor). Overall the value for money is good. Definitely worth trying.

We stayed for two nights in this magnificent structure, large and clean rooms all recently renovated, the place is immersed in a magnificent valley. The restaurant is delightfully furnished, the environment, although well looked after, gives a feeling of pleasant familiarity. Dishes rated 10 and praise, very kind and well-prepared staff. Highly recommended for those who want to relax and immerse themselves in a pure quality food and wine adventure.

although visited many times before and satisfied, we now had a terrible experience, the service was very unprofessional, disorganised and bad. In the adjacent room there was a very long table with many American guests and obviously caught all the attention of the staff. We had to call the staff (meaning walking to the other room) on several occasions asking for service. Furthermore there was a confusion about the order which could have easily been dealt with by asking instead of assuming.. the result is that food for two of the four guests where warmed up in order to serve the main course for us (4) at the same time..

I went with my partner to this wonderful place recommended by our friends and I must say that they were right! The food is excellent, with carefully crafted dishes and authentic flavours. Dinner was an unforgettable experience, with fresh and well-combined ingredients. The breakfast is rich and varied, perfect for starting the day in the right way. Impeccable service and welcoming atmosphere. Cleanliness more than 5 stars!!! I will definitely be back!

La mia recensione è relativa alla mia esperienza al ristorante. Locale molto elegante con un’atmosfera rilassante, complice sicuramente anche il grande camino. Cibo buonissimo e servizio impeccabile. Torneremo sicuramente per provare anche gli altri piatti che ci hanno incuriosito.
