Review for Il Calandrino Café The Calandrino Café is a true paradise for baking lovers. Their bread is exceptional: crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with an authentic taste that immediately makes you feel at home. The pastry shop is also spectacular, with artisanal desserts that seem to have come out of a work of art - from buttery croissants to cakes with attention to the smallest details. And as if that wasn't enough, I'm so happy to have finally found a place that serves matcha! I had been looking for it for a long time, and here it is simply perfect: balanced, creamy and with a refined flavor that enhances the quality of the raw materials. The welcoming atmosphere and courteous staff complete the experience. If you love good food and are looking for a place that knows how to pamper you, Il Calandrino is a must!

Delicious white and black fettuccini, with dry ink, fish and small squid, with pistachio cream. Gazpacho, tomato ice cream, Yuzu, delicious too. Machine ground beef tartare (and not with a knife, like a batteta). Well seasoned, with a very fresh salad, but hearty. Good, but not unforgettable. Dessert, less interesting Very short wine list, but it is possible to order wines from the starred restaurant, which we did. Barolo 2016 Brovia Brea vigna ca’ mia: a classic, all in balance. The prices are rather reasonable. Superb Capovilla grappa 2001 as a digestive. Good value for money.

The room is very nice, comfortable and clean. Excellent choice of croissants and desserts. Friendly and very professional staff. The only flaw is the price/quality ratio. Increase in the price of coffee from €1.50 which is already high compared to the average at €1.80. At the same time, brioches also increased by over 0.50 cents. Restaurant at its height since we are talking about a THREE MICHELIN STARS.

Locale attiguo al più noto Le Calandre dal quale eredita l’ambiente molto curato ma informale , la cucina ricercata sia per una pausa veloce che per una colazione ed il servizio distintivo e professionale Ottime tutte le proposte provate , anche in passato , con prezzi medio alti ma adeguati all’esperienza che si vive in questa tipologia di locali

Immediately welcoming and refined atmosphere. I started with a house aperitif (I don't remember the name but to be clear it's an Americano with lime, light and thirst-quenching) which I found superlative. I went for work so I couldn't order à la carte but the menu selected for the evening was a good combination of dishes and flavours. Wine paired perfectly. I have to go back!!!

When Massimiliano found out we were in the room he only took a moment to seat us and offered us an "unconventional" appetizer while waiting to then bring us what he defined as "something quick"... When Massimiliano learned that we were in the dining room, he only took a moment to accommodate us and he offered us an "unconventional" appetizer, waiting to bring us what he called "something quick" ... Really experience only! Krepkoye ob"yatiye, ulybka, peredayushchaya radost' i zhelaniye «poprivetstvovat'». Vot chto menya porazilo v nem. My proshli s Chino Tortorella v "nepriyemlemoye" vremya, chtoby poprosit' yedy. Kogda Massimiliano uznal, chto my nakhodimsya v stolovoy, on udelil nam nemnogo vremeni i predlozhil nam «netraditsionnuyu» zakusku, ozhidaya, chtoby prinesti nam to, chto on nazval «chem-to bystrym» ... Poistine unikal'nyy opyt! Ōkina hōyō, yorokobi to `kangei' and no yokkyū or tsutaeru egao. Korera wa kare ni tsuite watashi o odoroka seta monodeshita. Watashitachiha `ukeire rarenai' jikan ni CinoTortorella to issho ni shokuji o tanomimashita. Masshimiriāno ga watashitachi ga dainingu rūmu ni iru koto o shitta toki, kare wa watashitachi o ukeireru tame ni sukoshi jikan o totta dake de,`katayaburina' zensai o teikyō shite kuremashita. Nice bistrot type, relaxed setting, attached to the bakery shop.. and building where there is the 3 star “mother ship”. Small limited menu choices ..creative recipes. Unfortunately realization was a bit deceiving .. apero bites where banal and parmigiano (grana not reggiano ..) bites had a strange sambuca flavor .. antipasti’s were ok but nothing exceptional .. their poree Milanese creative but boring as rather tasteless .. wine choices very limited ie poor .. Expensive for what they offer

16/02/2025: Satisfied, the price is honest, the pizza is very good, the only flaw I find is that the selection of pizzas is classic without particular pizzas but despite this I ate very well, the leavening is done well and the type of dough is made to perfection
