A truly beautiful, modern, well-kept, and clean place.
The staff (the parking attendant, the waiters, and the sommeliers) are kind, professional, and attentive.
I really appreciate that, whenever the bread runs out, the waiters replenish it.
The menu is refined, with few but high-quality options.
My choice was Erminio's tartare: an explosion of flavors that creates a perfect umami experience, not to mention the salad, as simple as it is delicious.
The desserts are also excellent.
It was a pleasant experience, and I can't wait to return!

I'm always perplexed when I go there for breakfast. Why? Well, first of all, I don't like the unfriendly staff, from the girls at the counter to (and especially) the lady at the cash register, who is the sister of the famous chef; they always have this smug air that makes them indigestible. It's truly a mortal sin to take money from them.
The atmosphere: mediocre, it's basically a veranda along the main road in Rubano, decorated in a fairly unremarkable way.
The croissants are very good, no complaints there, although there are some pastry shops in Padua that make them better, and the locations are much nicer (and cheaper).
So, I'd go there even for a good croissant, but the unfriendly lady and the staff, along with the mediocre atmosphere, make it difficult for me to digest breakfast, which turns what should be a moment of pampering into a moment of nerves.

I have the impression that it has lost a bit of its allure... excellent food, 3 Michelin star service from the maitre and sommelier, friendly but perhaps a little inexperienced waiters, a touch of the magical atmosphere from a while ago is missing.

A very cozy restaurant. Friendly staff, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere (especially in the evening).
It's not cheap, but lately I've been coming here to celebrate various events because I'm happy to pay the extra 30 euros compared to many other restaurants: you can really taste the quality of the food.
They were also very kind to offer us cream puffs when I stopped by for my husband's anniversary.

And 3⭐️ is for breakfast! The line is endless, and so far no problem. It's known and we wait. Then she arrives. She skips everyone and says, "We sat over there and I'd like..." and lists the things to order. No one said, "Ma'am, first you order and pay (like everyone else does), then you sit!" That's because that way they can go around the tables and the poor souls who order have to sit down! But it doesn't end there! The two of them, the Misses, arrive, sit down, obviously without ordering, go to the cashier, see the line, and stop a waitress to place their order. She nicely brings them what they'd asked for. Double standards, in short. Personally, I think the place is good, the staff is kind, but this needs fixing. It's simply a matter of honesty, of people who do things well and respect others!

I have some experience with the restaurants run by the Alajmo brothers today, and their father before, and what always makes the difference in places like this is the staff and the customer service, as well as, of course, the quality of the food.
What I've always liked about their cuisine is that it's always simple, yet never banal or predictable.
The onion soup with white truffle and the pumpkin risotto with Castelmagno cheese were excellent.
The sore point this time was the service, alas. For a dinner of two glasses of Chianti, an appetizer, and two main courses, the bill came to €195.
At first, it seemed strange, but since I was with my partner, I didn't want to discuss the bill in front of her.
Two days later, thinking about it, it seemed truly outrageous, and indeed, instead of two glasses of Chianti for €9 each, I found a bottle on my receipt for €98.
I called, and they actually confirmed there had been a mistake on their part, and they apologized and said they'd wire me the difference.
I would have expected a breakfast invitation as an apology instead of a simple email, but that's fine. The important thing is to always check, even in places like this.
