04/07/2026: Excellent Roman-ish food (even without Romans)! But I always love going back. I've been to Ma Che Ci Frega in Milan several times, and it's a given: every time I'm in the area, I always love going back. Here's my honest assessment: The staff's "secret": Let's be clear, it's now a chain, and there's not even a trace of a true Roman behind the counter or at the tables! 🤣 If you're looking for the original dialect stornello, you might be disappointed... Food gets top marks: That said, there's nothing to complain about with the cuisine. The dishes are truly delicious, well-prepared, and true to tradition. The food is good, and the portions are always satisfying. Top-notch service: The staff, even if they don't come straight from Trastevere, are super efficient and friendly, and the service definitely gets a thumbs up. In short: Don't be fooled by the lack of "genuine Romanness" among the staff: the quality is there. Recommended, and as far as I'm concerned, we'll definitely see each other again on our next trip to Milan!
