Everything was excellent, from the farinata to the trofie with pesto and the desserts! Highly recommended!

Nice place, with ancient floors, friendly and fast service, we tried various dishes and I must say that they are not bad at all. We will definitely be back next time!

Picturesque restaurant, beautiful decor! Very local menu, with atypical dishes! The portions are a little small and the prices are relatively high, however everything was delicious! Very professional and welcoming service. We had a great time, I recommend it!

Without booking, we show up on a cold evening in December 2024: this place had always intrigued my wife, and we try our luck. There's room.
Inside, the place is very nice and picturesque. The upper part of the walls is exposed and there are old bricks. The same bricks used for the arches of the room. The floor is made of old stones (like a sidewalk, and maybe it was) and the staff (two guys serve the tables) are very friendly.
We sit down and are immediately asked if we would like some water. We order water and in the meantime we look at the blackboard where the dishes of the day are written. While we decide, one of the two waiters brings us the wine list and the menu of dishes.
Excessive prices, in my humble opinion, for wines: the same bottles can be found at much lower prices in the bars of Genoa. We opt for the house wine: half a liter of excellent ciliegiolo.
My eye falls on the "Vecchia Genova Triangles" on the slate blackboard, and I question the staff: they tell me they are stuffed pasta with a sauce that is a mix of pesto and walnut sauce. I freak out and I say to the guy "But this is blasphemy!", but I accept the challenge and order them. My wife takes the stuffed vegetables (decent) and the strips of meat with artichokes, very good, with a truly tasty base. The “Triangoli Vecchia Genova” are arriving. You can feel that the pesto used for the sauce is fresh, the pasta filling is very good, but the pesto plus walnut sauce sauce doesn't convince me.
Dessert: two panera parfaits, pricey (€6) and banal.
We ended up having a Luisa herb liqueur (good).
In conclusion, perhaps it could satisfy a tourist clientele, but it didn't convince me much.
Paid €72, with receipt (something not to be taken for granted).

Typical atmosphere of the rooms in the alleys, well renovated with brick vaulted ceilings.
Typical Genoese menu from appetizer to dessert, fried anchovies, mixed fried foods with panissa, farinata and cheese focaccia.
First courses with pansoti with walnut sauce (all artisanal), troffie with pesto (really good) with potatoes and green beans. Second course with cod and potatoes and truly superlative tomassine.
The service was precise, punctual and excellently organized by very kind staff.
To try again.

A beautiful place in a little street off the wonderful Via Garibaldi street near the museums of the Strada Nuova! Family run with traditional Genovese dishes prepared wonderfully! A speciality of the day was the Capon Magro (a cold, layered seafood dish), which was delightful. We hadn't found it on any other menu! The farinata, a chickpea flour pancake was the best we tried in Genoa. The pesto pasta with potato and green beans was perfect. If possible, ask for a table in the front room room, which is very cute! The house white wine by the carafe was good, and nice and light for a daytime meal.
