Quiet restaurant in a good area

A very good restaurant, discovered by accident. The pasta, steak, and squid... really tasty. I recommend it. Just take a side street 🙆

We live next door to Il Buco and have eaten there for years, becoming part of their amazing family and making them part of ours. It is becoming so difficult to find really good food in Rome, food that tastes like it came from a garden or a good butcher or someone in the kitchen who knows how to keep it simple but oh, so tasty. The lovely owner's recipe for ravioli con salsa di noci, is only one of the delectable dishes we order over and over again, and the chateaubriand is the best in Rome, thanks to their mystery source for great Italian beef. The soothing winter soup of ribolita is our favorite for cold weather, and the fish, which are equally hard to find in trattorie lately are always fresh and prepared beautifully with some of the best oven-roasted potatoes on earth! As I said, the plates are simple, but their fall funghi, such as egg-shaped ovali served as a salad with celery, olive oil and lemon or fall's porcini, grilled a little crisp around the edges are really the best in Rome. Need I say more...we will be there tonight with four friends as we celebrate the coming holidays and take off for France, where an Il Buco is sorely needed!

We discovered this restaurant by chance on The Fork. Knowing that many downtown restaurants are often "tourist traps," we relied on the reviews, and I must say we were very satisfied. The service was attentive and friendly, and the dishes were truly delicious, with authentic flavors. We tried the pappardelle with wild boar sauce and the ricotta and spinach ravioli with walnut sauce: both excellent. We paired it with a glass of their own wine and finished with a sour cherry tart and coffee. We will definitely return to try other dishes, especially since, as the waiter explained, the menu varies seasonally, a detail we really appreciated because it guarantees the freshness and quality of the ingredients. In short, if you're in central Rome, this restaurant is a must-try.

Definitely such amazing food! The service was fabulous and the atmosphere was so quaint and authentic. My husband had the truffle pasta and I had the fish dish. Fantastic! It felt very local as many priests and local Italians were dining there. My only negative would be the price. The truffle pasta was 70 euro, so we were a bit shocked when we got the bill. But we did not ask the price for the special. We would definitely return the next time we come back to Rome.

Nice little space for dinner after a stroll in the city. The service was impeccable, pasta here was one of the best, the meat, not so much.

Stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, I'm so happy we went inside cause I had one of my best meals in my life. Had a little miss happening that the server gave my wife the wrong dish but fixed it quickly and swift. We spent 90 euro on our meal. Expensive , yes but really worth it. Don't miss this restaurant if you are visiting Rome, I'm sure glad we had the experience 👍

Like many others, this was an accidental stop while wondering the streets of Rome. We weren’t sure what to expect but the food blew us away. It was easily the best pasta of our entire holiday and the tiramisu was equally exquisite! We shared a starter, had one main each, and shared a dessert. All of that came to just over €55 - unbelievable value for the quality of food
