We found ourselves at this trattoria on the way to Castel Savoia. We were immediately welcomed by two young, kind, and knowledgeable people: Tommaso and Sonia.
Their enthusiasm, passion for their work, and the refinement of their dishes—though simple—express a special touch—are evident.
I had the maltagliati with wild boar ragù, while my companion had a generous rib-eye steak with a side of baked potatoes, all accompanied by a lovely glass of red wine recommended by Tommaso.
To top it all off, we also had an apple tarte tatin and a Piedmontese bonet, both garnished with delicious whipped cream, suggested and made by Sonia, which made the whole experience even better.
If we can give you an unsolicited piece of advice: absolutely try the cream with the desserts: it's truly exquisite!
Everything else is truly worth it; definitely a place to return to.

We've been here twice. I recommend the polenta with plain sausage and sauce. The beers are good and the atmosphere is pleasant. The bill, however, is really high. I'd like to reconsider the prices on the menu.

We've been there twice for dinner, and the service and food have always been excellent! The first time we had a rib-eye steak, which was cooked exactly to our liking! This is not a given! It came with a side of potatoes and an excellent polenta concia with mushrooms, which was very tasty! The desserts are always top-notch, all of which are homemade. We've always had beer, but haven't tried any wines yet. The second time we had a very tasty appetizer: local gnocchetti with Blu d'Aosta cheese and walnuts, very good and rich, and venison with polenta, tender and flavorful, along with homemade dessert and beers. The price is more than fair, always under €35 per person. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and the place is very welcoming and pleasant.

I went for dinner with my boyfriend and our Pomeranian. We ate very well, the staff was excellent, and the prices were reasonable.

We went to this beautiful trattoria attracted by the very positive reviews.
Expectations were far exceeded; every course was perfect, from the flavors to the portions.
We had a mixed antipasto that immerses you in the local flavors, with a selection of local cheeses (Blue d'Aosta, Toma di Gressoney, local Fontina, and more) garnished with pear and mustard jam, a sample of moccetta, carpaccio, fried gnocco, and venison and wild boar salami...all excellent.
The traditional polenta and concia were also delicious, with the venison stew and accompanying sausage being particularly good. For the first course, the pumpkin risotto was a real treat, an explosion of flavor, and for dessert, a homemade panna cotta, never tasted so good.
The service was unsurpassed, with the kindness and customer service of professionals, but above all, of people with a heart.
Finally, this is a wonderful location. If available for groups of 6-8 people, ask for the single, raised dining room. It's a truly charming and intimate spot for spending time with friends or family, slightly removed from the rest of the dining room.
If you're passing through, you can't miss this place. Highly recommended ❤️

Good food and excellent service, delicious sliced steak. It's a shame the mixed grill is only available for two people and there's no option to order cuts other than the classic Piedmontese one, which are included in the mixed grill but cannot be ordered individually. Prices are in line with the offerings.

We had lunch at Trattoria del Braciere during a family trip to Gressoney and had a truly wonderful time.
We ate very well: delicious dishes, carefully prepared, and truly generous portions!
A huge plus is the staff: super helpful, kind, and welcoming waiters, always on point, with a youthful and playful attitude that makes you feel immediately at ease.
The service is attentive but never intrusive, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the atmosphere is truly family-friendly.
A place we would gladly return to and definitely recommend to anyone passing through Gressoney!
