Il Braciere In Gressoney-saint-jean

August 19, 2025. First time in Gressoney-Saint-Jean, fate led us to this special trattoria for a few days: "IL BRACIERE." As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with sincere and warm smiles that lasted throughout the entire meal. For appetizers, we were delighted by a varied platter of local cheeses accompanied by a delicate jam. For the first course: "Fresh pasta squares with sausage." The texture of the pasta, wrapped in a delicate sausage sauce, was astonishing. "The risotto...", whose name, alas, I don't remember, was a delicate and enveloping cream cheese velvet. For the second course, an amazing "Mixed grill" of meats with bold flavors. Finally, a superb "Panna cotta ai futti di bosco" and an exceptional "Tiramisu" concluded our gastronomic experience in the enchanting Gressoney-Saint-Jean valley with a truly sweet touch. High quality dishes, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff

We stopped for lunch, we ate very well, the polenta concia and the homemade desserts are amazing! Very good prices!! Highly recommended 👍👍👍

We had a great lunch. The rice was good and the polenta with mushrooms was excellent. The final bill wasn't excessive. The staff was very kind and helpful.

I was passing through, my first time in Gressoney. The nearby Lyshaus Hotel recommended this place. It's a welcoming place. I love wood, especially beading. You'll easily feel at home. The hospitality and service are undoubtedly strong points. They recommended local dishes and a good Aosta Valley wine. I appreciated and appreciated the recommendations. The food was tasty. The wine was equally pleasant and well-matched. I didn't order dessert, but I saw some mouth-watering dishes coming out. With an appetizer and a main course, I was more than satisfied. Water, a glass of wine, and coffee cost me €42.50. Personally, I think the price is more than fair for the quality, quantity, and service. I would definitely return and recommend it.

Friendly welcome, pet-friendly venue, excellent menu

Very nice location. Indoor and outdoor seating. Good food and generous portions. Service is a bit slow and confusing. Plenty of parking spaces right in front of the restaurant.

Siamo stati accolti con molta cortesia. Servizio veloce, nonostante l'affluenza. Due taglieri , uno di formaggi con marmellata, uno con Gnocchi fritti e salumi. Qualità notevole. Risotto con formaggi e nocciole perfetto, cottura corretta e sapore ben amalgamato. Tagliata con crema di blue di Aosta. Cotta medio sangue, come richiesto, calda per il piatto di ghisa su cui ha continuato un poco a cuocere. La carne si scioglieva in bocca. Prezzo nella norma. Bravi. Consigliatissimo

Ci siamo fermati quasi per caso, l’ultimo giorno della nostra settimana di permanenza, dopo aver sperimentato diversi ristoranti/pub del posto senza mai uscire completamente soddisfatti. Qua ci siamo ricreduti e di brutto. Cibo ottimo, personale bravo, rapido e simpaticissimo anche con il nostro cagnolone Bruno che si è preso un sacco di complimenti oltre ad aver mangiato benissimo come noi. Questo è IL posto per stare bene a Gressoney. Bravissimi! 👏🏻👏🏻
