Super friendly restaurant owner and lovely service. Great food, and assortment of wines. The meat dishes are rather small, but they are made with great products and knowledge for sure. Recommended.

We had a truly beautiful meal at BOrGO last night! Attentive and interactive service that was genuine — no saccharine shows here. The unexpected starter of ratatouille was exceptional, and that’s when I knew we were in for a real treat. House-made sourdough followed. It was also outstanding. All three of us absolutely loved our entrees (two from the menu — don’t sleep on the cappellacci with guinea fowl ragu — and one special) and our shared dessert so much that we booked a reservation for 48 hours later— our last meal before departing Florence.

We were looking for a restaurant where we wouldn't be victims of the tourist chaos but at the same time we could eat good food. At B.O.r.G.O. da Gabriele we found excellent dishes, cooked using really excellent quality raw materials and presented in an equally valid way. The few seats allow you to enjoy the delicious dishes in peace and quiet. Something quite rare. See you next time!

This was such a memorable dining experience in Florence in the best way. When my husband and I walked into B.o.r.g.o, we were immediately greeted by Gabriele and his cozy, comfortable restaurant. We felt like we were eating at a friend or family’s home. The atmosphere is wonderful, but the food is what we will be talking about for a long time. My husband’s linguine with onion sauce was so unique and his favorite dish during our trip. Gabriele described it as a “tribute to the onion” and that is a very fitting description. My agnolotti pasta with guinea hen melted in my mouth and was perfection. The menu is comprised of interesting and unique dishes and you cannot go wrong. Gabriele is the loveliest host and you can tell he truly takes great pride in his dishes and loves sharing his culinary gift with others. I agree with previous reviews — he is an artist! Thank you for a wonderful experience, Gabriele!

Our family was treated so well at B.O.r.G.O. The owner was very helpful with multiple food allergies, and everything came out great. We especially loved the anchovies, hummus sampler, and pork. Mille grazie!

Very nice everything! We felt welcomed and pampered even if with due discretion. All the dishes were very good, not banal and with something to tell. Wine list not exaggerated but with a nice attention to the territory, a nice selection of Chianti Classico, with some gems.

Superb local eatery with an owner who is truly passionate about his restaurant’s menu and ambiance. We had the pesto rigatoni and linguini in a cream sauce. Everything was very fresh and the ingredients complimented each other perfectly. A must try in Florence which we will be visiting again when we return.
