Il Bastione In

For us it was an amazing place with great food and service. Everything and everyone liked it. I would love to come back here again. The appetizer in the form of fresh tuna tartare was indescribable. The main dishes in the form of fresh fish simply got us. The flavors and atmosphere were unmistakable.

Abbiamo pranzato con vista mare e del faro di Gallipoli. Dato che si trattava di un pranzo di lavoro, ci siamo limitati a un primo (paccheri) di mare, ma l'esperienza è stata molto buona.

I can't really rate the cuisine and the atmosphere, but we arrived at the very end of the service, 2 glasses of wine, a bottle of water and lots of little snacks that we hadn't ordered, in the end 20€ out of season, nice surprise. It makes you want to come back to eat there this time, thank you 👌

Unique location with astonishing view. Amazing food like anywhere in Italy.

Very nice discovery by the sea. Dinner almost with your feet in the water. Very good food, the servers are quick, friendly and very pleasant despite the language barrier.

Restaurant on the sea. The view is breathtaking! Attentive service, the fish is delicious. The prices are those of a tourist area but the quality is there.

It wasn't the first time in this restaurant and the first thing I don't agree with is that over the years it always offers only the same dishes from starters to desserts. On other occasions some off-menu items were offered but on this occasion no mention was made of them. Furthermore, when the seafood appetizer with hot and cold dishes was brought, it was not explained what we would be eating and this is a serious omission! Compared to previous occasions we left the table not satisfied with the quality of what we ate and it is a shame as this restaurant has the best location in Gallipoli and as long as the food was excellent the repetitiveness of the offer could pass but if it expires the quality is a problem, perhaps it was a bad day in the kitchen which was also very slow and incomplete, just to say with grilled prawns and scampi I was afraid of grilled vegetables that never arrived which to be honest did not I wasn't even asked to pay them but, the point is the incomplete order and the fact that they didn't even notice! We will definitely try again before saying we won't be back, a bad day can happen to anyone! However, the location is worth the "trip"!

Historic place in the heart of old Gallipoli which I recommend in winter given the easy access by car and the ease of finding parking. The menu offers various dishes including appetizers, first courses, second courses, fried foods and homemade desserts. Vast choice of wines for lovers of good wine that is more exclusive than accessible. I was very impressed by the hot starter, truly delicious and presented with the utmost care, the fish was excellent, especially the octopus which was so tender and delicious. The first course was also excellent although to be honest I noticed the presence of a little extra salt, I advise the chef to be careful because it is a shame to ruin such beauty and goodness. The fried calamari and prawns are good. A discreet dessert, it was a kind of slightly revisited caprese. (Yeast should not be added to caprese). I recommend visiting the place for lunch to enjoy the wonderful sea view which unfortunately is impossible to see in the evening. The staff was very kind, qualified and always present. Good food, characteristic atmosphere, but the waiter's management of customers was completely wrong. Passive and condescending towards other customers to our detriment, sometimes you just need to ask politely.
