As fresh as it gets. Amazing food, beautiful location

First visit and an immediate excellent impression: friendly and professional staff, impeccably fresh fish, and top-notch raw seafood. The sea view is also splendid, enhancing the experience. The wine recommendation was spot on: a truly successful dry Zibibbo from Case Bianche. The grilled fish is among the best I've ever tasted. Congratulations!

Superb!! We had an incredible time at Barcaiolo. The food was absolutely amazing there was not a single thing we could fault. Atmosphere was nice with sea views, the staff were so helpful and patient, friendly and attentive. We ordered for starters the white bait pancakes, oysters and anchovie with cheese bread - wow! The flavours were so perfect it was delicious, if I had to pick my favourite of the starters it would be the white bait pancakes. For mains we ordered the sardine pasta and the pesto prawn pasta both of which were delicious. You can tell everything is homemade and quality ingredients are used. We also ordered a bottle of white wine. Pricing was very fair for the portions and quality of food. Will definitely be back, thank you for having us!

A charming place, but a bit disappointing. The food was good but not amazing, and definitely overpriced. The first courses all started at €25. We ordered a pasta dish with basil pesto, pistachios, and red prawns: not only was it nothing special, but there was only one red prawn, and the others were shrimp (frozen?). The other first course, however, was good, with scampi sauce, cherry tomatoes, and zucchini. Both were €28. I don't think I'd go back.

The location is absolutely worth it, but we were disappointed by the seafood linguine. It was absolutely tasteless. It tasted like a simple plate of pasta with seafood thrown on top, rock-hard, rubbery calamari, dried-out mussels, and two or three clams inside. It had an aftertaste of glutamate and onion. For the modest price of €28, it absolutely didn't taste like seafood sauce; you could tell the fish had been cooked separately, dry and tough. Honestly, I've never had worse seafood pasta. I left almost half of it and wasn't even asked why when they took the plates away. Beautiful place, but I'd recommend it only for the view, not the food. The staff was generally friendly and helpful.
