Really fantastic food, the nicest meal I have had in a week in Sicily across Catania, Ortigia, and Taormina. Fabulous bottle of white wine, 40 euros & recommended to go with the seafood risotto. A brilliant spot to chow down at, wonderful relaxed atmosphere with a view that you could sit and admire for an afternoon in the sun with glee. Thank you for having us!

Il Barcaiolo è un'incantevole ristorante immerso in un paesaggio molto particolare, si potrebbe dire quasi un delizioso "nascondiglio" armonioso tra mare e montagna.La sublime qualità del pesce, gli ottimi antipasti, la bontà dei primi e la genuinità delle pietanze vi stupirà piacevolmente!Il tutto "condito" da un servizio impeccabile: personale attento e davvero gentilissimo.Lo consiglio a tutti, credetemi sarà un'esperienza indimenticabile!

04/04/2026: It was good but mid. The carbonara was nice, but the bread was hard and we had to ask for the olive oil and vinager, they didn’t just gave it. Wasn’t wow, kind of expensive, but good food at the end of the day.

07/04/2026: We came here on a strong recommendation from a close friend, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We tried the pork pasta, artichoke pasta, and bluefin caviar pasta—every single dish was outstanding. The pork pasta portion was especially generous and incredibly satisfying. The wine selection is also well curated and pairs nicely with the food. What really made the experience special was the owner’s warm hospitality—she made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. A truly memorable spot and definitely worth visiting.
03/04/2026: A very good restaurant, we loved it! The service was incredible; they replenished our bread basket and gave us olive oil to drizzle on the bread before our meal. For starters, we ordered a cheese that was EXQUISITE; we highly recommend it. For our main courses, we ordered three pasta dishes, all delicious. We arrived without a reservation at 8:30 pm and didn't have to wait—fantastic! We would definitely return!
