My favorite restaurant, while visiting Cala Gonone. The food was very tasty and flavorful, and although it is on the pricier side, I believe it is better than all other restaurants in the area. Service seemed a bit chaotic, but when asking for something forgotten, they were on it right away. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy. The tables aren’t on top of each other so it also offers a chance for a nice conversation, without other tables being loud or being forced to listen. The views are also absolutely gorgeous. The restaurant seemed quite full every day, therefore I would recommend a reservation. On the day I visited, we arrived around 19:45, it was full, but the very friendly host offered us a reservation for about an hour later.

It's worth making a reservation and eating outside with a sea view 🌊 the food was great and of high quality, even the olive oil for the bread was organic and from a nearby place in Sardinia

The two of us had a very tasty meal. For starters we had mussels in tomato sauce, which were very tasty and a large portion. We shared them. The carbonara that followed was also very good, a pretty good portion. My boyfriend had aglio e lio spaghetti, but he didn't find it particularly special and would have preferred to order something else. I drank a Moscow Mule, which was very tasty! If you arrive before 8:30 p.m. you can get a seat without a reservation, but if you arrive later you may have to wait. In general we found the food to be very good value for money considering the quality and size of the portions.

We visited this restaurant several times while visiting Sardinia. It's one of the few that opens very early. The food is very good, carefully prepared, the portions are quite large, and the prices are reasonable. A big plus is the staff's sense of humor. Thank you for the "tattoos" on my daughter's arm.

Out of four days, we dined here three times. Everything was truly delicious. Highly recommended. The fregola is a must-try if you're a fish lover!

We've been here twice, having both pizza and the seafood menu. The pizza is generally good and well-made, with a wide selection of original pizzas. However, I recommend trying the seafood menu. The fish is truly high-quality; we had the best mussels we've ever had, and every dish is delicious and well-prepared. The service is prompt and the waiters are friendly. Amazingly, they even offered us a double round of myrtle liqueur!

Arrived without reservation and they were able to accommodate us, friendly staff. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable. Bruschetta was missing a little bit of flavour and crunchiness but everything else was great.

Nous avons dîné deus soirées dans ce restaurant avec vue sur la mer. Les plats à base de viande ou les spécialités italiennes étaient excellents. Le service et l’accueil parfait.

Altra bella sorpresa della ristorazione di Cala Gonone, locale fronte mare, carinissimo con veranda e sala interna. Proprietari affabili e dediti alla clientela, con suggerimenti rivelatisi decisamente azzeccati. Ottime le pietanze di mare che ci sono state proposte, dalle orecchiette al capone arrosto con olive e pomodorini, il tutto accompagnato da un rosso di produzione propria eccellente, per finire poi con una mousse al cioccolato ed una grappa locale ottima, anch’essa prodotta dai proprietari. Bravissimi davvero!!

22/08/2025: In this review, I think I'll be very brief and concise. Having more receipts to hand, I can say that the average à la carte cost is around €170 per person.... Positive notes: Beautiful location, very well-maintained. The meat is definitely good quality, and the cooking technique is also excellent... absolutely nothing to complain about. Negative notes: - Much of the staff is unprepared. - Any type of bottled wine is served warm. It only takes one person to take a sommelier course to understand that serving wine at that temperature is unacceptable. The atmosphere is called such with a controlled cellar temperature, not kept anywhere with 37 degrees outside. - In 30 minutes, we asked the waiter for desserts three times. He said he'd clear the table and then take our dessert order... He neither cleared the table nor took our dessert order until we lost patience on the third occasion... - We all ordered gin and tonics. One person wanted a myrtle liqueur and was told no, even though there was myrtle liqueur in the dispenser... So, a terrible response. - We asked for a third round of gin and tonics and were told they wouldn't prepare anything else. Now, I say, there were two tables, each with eight adults. We left a total of about €2,700, and this is the attitude? We would have spent even more to do two or three more rounds of gin and tonics for 16 people, and instead, we're getting lost in nonsense. In short, while the à la carte meat justifies the price, the service doesn't. And when you spend that kind of money, everything has to be impeccable. Everything. And mulled wine is absolutely unsightly and undrinkable. In fact, as you can see from the receipt, we started by ordering two bottles of wine together but refused to drink any more. So, here too, they lost revenue, since we love a good drink when we go out. I urge everyone to think twice before traveling like us and spending that kind of money on service that leaves much to be desired.

Paninoteca "da Michela"

05/08/2025: Durante una gita tra amici a Orgosolo ci siamo fermati in un posto davvero caratteristico, dove abbiamo avuto il piacere di assaggiare due specialità locali che ci hanno conquistati: il coccone e il pane lento. Il coccone era fragrante e saporito, perfetto da gustare caldo, mentre il pane lento ci ha sorpresi per la sua morbidezza e il sapore autentico della tradizione. Due chicche della cucina barbaricina che meritano assolutamente di essere provate. Un ringraziamento speciale va a Michela, la proprietaria, che è stata non solo gentilissima e disponibile, ma ci ha anche fatto venire una gran curiosità di scoprire e assaggiare altre specialità tipiche del territorio. La sua passione per la cucina e per le tradizioni locali si percepisce in ogni dettaglio. Un posto genuino, accogliente e ricco di sapori veri. Se siete a Orgosolo, fateci un salto: ne vale davvero la pena!
31/07/2025: We were there and had a fantastic lunch, delicious local food, nice family service, we really liked the atmosphere of the local bar.
