We visited this restaurant in Assisi yesterday and had a truly pleasant experience. The restaurant is well-maintained, welcoming, and conveniently located: just steps from the center and very close to the Matteotti parking lot, making it easy to get there.
Despite the late hour, the host—the owner of the restaurant—was extremely helpful and prepared a variety of dishes for us, carefully adapting each course to our dietary needs. A rare, attentive, and genuinely courteous service.
Good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a truly welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

A few weeks ago, I had lunch at this lovely restaurant with my husband. We were very impressed by the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality of the owner and his staff. In a touristy place like Assisi, Il Baccanale is an authentic place, serving local cuisine, well-maintained and well-managed. Highly recommended!

Very welcoming atmosphere, friendly and cheerful staff, we really appreciated the moment when the owner explained the history of the place where the restaurant is located. The food was excellent, including gluten-free options. We will definitely be back if we pass through Assisi. Congratulations! 👏🏻

We had dinner at Baccanale two nights ago. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good; my only suggestion was to use less olive oil.

Food, service and atmosphere were EXCELLENT! We(family of 6) showed up with no reservation and were sat immediately. It was quite obvious that we were tourists and not locals. And even though we certainly got looks and stares from the locals, the owner and waiter were more than happy to serve us and did so with great results. They even had several gluten free options for my wife and made sure to point them out when she explained her food allergy! 10/10 would 100% recommend! And we will probably return before our stay in Assisi is up.

Siamo stati in questo locale a cena, abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo la vasta scelta vegetariana e le possibilitá anche senza glutine. Personale gentilissimo e ingredienti dei piatti davvero super. Veramente tutto buonissimo, menzione d'onore all'antipasto ortolano, davvero consigliato. Unica nota: avremmo apprezzato piú scelta di dolci.
