25/11/2025: We visited this pizzeria and really appreciated the large outdoor space, perfect for summer evenings. The atmosphere is nice, but the service leaves a bit to be desired; there were probably too many customers and the staff couldn't keep up with everything. The wait was also quite long. The pizzas are good, though nothing exceptional.
31/10/2025: I give Mavi's a full five stars, a place I truly consider a guarantee. It's a restaurant, pizzeria, and, in a way, a bar, located right at the entrance to Gallipoli, conveniently located and easy to reach.
The main reason it deserves all its stars is undoubtedly the service. I especially want to thank Vittorio, with whom I speak often: he's always friendly, attentive, and ready to welcome guests in the best possible way. You can tell he cares, because he pays attention to every need and makes them feel truly at ease.
Thanks also to Claudio, the owner, a friendly, honest, and always available person. We see each other almost once a week, and every time he manages to make the experience pleasant and familiar.
The food is truly excellent, from the burgers, which are my favorite, to the meats, always good quality and well-cooked. I often order the farmer's burger, but with one small change: instead of zucchini, I ask for caramelized onions along with eggplant cream. The burger is 200 grams, very tasty, with a soft, delicious bun.
I usually accompany it with onion rings and fries, a perfect pairing.
The restaurant occasionally hosts small parties or themed evenings, designed to accommodate more people and create a livelier yet still relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The atmosphere is pleasant, without crowds, but with just the right energy for a different kind of evening.
Finally, I must say that the quality-price ratio is truly fair, especially considering we're in Gallipoli, where prices are often higher. Here, however, you eat well, you spend the right amount, and you're treated with courtesy.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Mavis: a welcoming place, with excellent food, impeccable service, and passionate staff. I go there almost once a week... and I recommend you do the same!
