The menu offers both Valtellina and Milanese dishes. The portions are just right, which in Milan is equivalent to generous. The dishes are tasty and beautifully presented, yet simple. The prices are reasonable for Milan. Recommended.

If you're in Milan and you suddenly feel a craving for pizzoccheri or authentic Valtellina cuisine, don't hesitate: reserve a table at Osteria Valtellina. After an afternoon spent in Milan, right at aperitivo time, we suddenly had a specific craving: pizzoccheri. We're from Brianza but have lived abroad for years, and our initial thought was that we should head towards Lecco or even further. Instead, a quick Google search and a surprise: Osteria Valtellina, practically just off the eastern ring road. We call—there are only two of us—and luckily they reserve a table for us at 9:30 PM. From the outside, it feels like being transported to the countryside, almost Lodi style. Once inside, the atmosphere is immediately super welcoming: a lit stove, typical Valtellina furnishings, thoughtful Christmas decorations, and warm lights (we're talking December 27th). We were seated on the back veranda, enclosed by large windows and heated for the winter: a truly pleasant space that blends seamlessly with the rest of the restaurant. For our appetizer, we chose a taragna with porcini mushrooms and typical Valtellina cheese, rich and flavorful, accompanied by a bottle of Garof Valtellina Superiore Grumello DOCG 2022 from the Mamete Prevostini winery, chosen from a wine list entirely dedicated to Valtellina, with an excellent selection from the Sondrio area. And then the star: simply sublime pizzoccheri. A dish that makes you forget you're just outside Milan and truly feels like you're in Valtellina. The service is fast, attentive, and friendly, with very kind and attentive waiters. Everything flows naturally, without unnecessary waiting, with great care. We also noticed a beautiful outdoor garden, which we imagine would be perfect in the summer: peaceful, green, and certainly cool. The menu offers prices that are absolutely in line with the high quality of the products served (for example, a bottle of Garof costs €32, compared to around €22 at a wine bar, a decidedly fair markup). A place that surprises, warms, and convinces. Worth a note and recommend without hesitation. I've already decided what to try next: the Tzigeuner.

Even though I live nearby, I'd never had the chance to try it... it's a shame, because I would have enjoyed the excellent food, the refined but understated atmosphere, and the impeccable service many times before. We'll definitely be back!

Every dish we tried was delicious, and it’s clear that a lot of care and passion goes into the cooking. On top of that, the staff was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to make our experience memorable. Their warmth and professionalism made the meal even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Osteria Valtellina is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again for both the food and the experience. Highly recommended!

Simply Fabulous restaurant. Beautiful, warm, and welcoming atmosphere, extremely friendly service. The food is exquisite, from the varied and generous appetizers to the first and second courses. The Cotoletta was simply sublime. I ate wonderfully and hope to return soon. The only slight improvement is the wait, but since it's a Friday night, it's understandable that it took longer to eat. In conclusion, it's absolutely worth it, and you've got a new regular.
