It's been years since I've had such an excellent lampredotto sandwich or peposo. Lately, the "lampredottai" (lampredotto joints) I used to go to have lost some of their quality. Here, I found courteous, fast, and even friendly service, but above all, excellent quality ingredients. The sandwich bread is perfect and doesn't fall apart like it often does. It's also incredibly comfortable, with seating both inside and out. Well done, keep it up! I'll definitely be back again!!!

Lampredotto is an institution in Florence, and every Florentine has their favorite lampredotto maker: Lapo is mine. When I met him, he amazed me by serving me cold Lambruschino with lampredotto, which I later discovered is fantastic in the summer because it "cuts the fat." But lampredotto isn't fatty; it's the leanest meat of the entire animal, and it was the only food I could eat after an operation that kept me on a strict diet for several months. In short: Lapo weaned me on lampredotto! And lampredotto is just the most famous of Lapo's dishes, which he uses all the "poor" cuts, from sinew to breast, to tripe, which he also reworks "on the plate" like inzimino, cacciatora, artichokes, and everything delicious you can imagine with the "fifth quarter." Can you say that? Lapo is a high-end tripe maker who doesn't show off and delivers high quality. I don't want to make comparisons, since every Florentine has their favorite tripe shop...

A Florentine excellence: excellent cuisine and a wide variety of sauces with lampredotto, stracotto, and tripe. The classic lampredotto and lampredotto meatballs are a must. Trust Lapo and his cuisine to eat lampre properly.

After more than 30 years in Florence I ate my first lampredotto sandwich today..what can I say, VERY GOOD 😋 I couldn't have chosen better! Lapo is very young, friendly and truly passionate. I went today, just to try the lampredotto sandwich for the first time. And I couldn't have chosen a better place. The sandwich was delicious: crunchy bread (just soaked), the lampredotto melted in your mouth, green sauce and a hint of spicy topping it all off. And finally, the friendliness, cordiality and advice of the owner make the experience even more authentic. Highly recommended!
