In a moderately interesting location with a terrace overlooking the river I had lunch with friends. The food was decent. On a negative note, the menu can only be had by reading the QR code. We therefore ordered without being able to know the prices. I consider the quality-price ratio to be negative.

Perfect initial welcome, very courteous, even if we had to wait 40 minutes for dessert (just me and my girlfriend inside the place) perhaps a nothing serious oversight. The thing that doesn't go down well is the cover charge of 4 euros per person. 60 euros for 2 for eating 2 fried calamari and 1 dessert

I had the pleasure of having dinner at the I Sette Nani Restaurant on a work occasion. Unfortunately it was a rainy day, which did not allow us to fully enjoy the external location, which promises a truly suggestive view. Despite the weather, the experience was excellent in every respect. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with great courtesy by the owner, who offered us an aperitif with some proposals to tease: tasty, well presented and perfect to open the meal with taste. I took a few photos of only some dishes, but I assure you that even the second courses and desserts - although not immortalized - were delicious. The quality of the raw materials is evident and each dish is designed and created with great attention to the balance of flavours. A further note of merit goes to the oil, truly excellent: as an Umbrian, I have a special eye (and palate) on this detail, and it was definitely appreciated here. The cellar is also very interesting, with a curated selection that perfectly accompanies the dishes offered. In short, a high-level experience, in a welcoming and passionately managed environment. Definitely a place to return to, to fully enjoy the external location.

Il Vecchio Forno

05/06/2025: 🌟🍞 IL VECCHIO FORNO – THE OLD BAKERY OF LEGEND 🍞🌟 Step aside, all other bakeries of the world—Il Vecchio Forno is not just a bakery, it's a time machine, a perfume bottle of toasted dreams, and a museum of doughy masterpieces rolled into one! Nestled in the heart of a medieval Italian street and flying the flags of flavor like a culinary castle, this 200-year-old marvel practically radiates the scent of history. The second you step within olfactory range, you're enveloped in a cloud of fresh focaccia, roasted nuts, and old-world magic that could make even the most gluten-averse traveler weep with joy. And let us talk—nay, sing—of the masterpiece I was lucky enough to try. This dense, glorious square of nut-studded nirvana is a local specialty that tastes like someone distilled an Italian grandmother’s holiday memories into a single, chewy bite. Packed with whole almonds, pistachios, and what I suspect are secret candied fruits passed down through generations, this rustic bar is a triumph of texture: chewy, crunchy, rich, and subtly sweet without being cloying. It’s dusted lightly with flour like a sacred relic. Is it a dessert? Is it a power snack? Is it edible heritage? Yes, yes, and YES. The shop window is like an edible diorama, displaying rows of artisanal breads, biscotti, and Tuscan delights, each handwritten sign whispering sweet promises. And their specialty "schiacciata con mortadella" and "prosciutto pisano"? Just the idea makes angels tune their mandolins. If you only go to one bakery in your life—make it this one. And then go again. And again. Because Il Vecchio Forno doesn’t just bake bread… they bake joy, history, and the very essence of Tuscany into every bite. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (If I could give it 6 stars, I would.)
26/04/2025: We went on a trip to Pisa yesterday. We stopped at this little bakery. There are truly many peculiarities. Desserts I didn't even know about. The owner was kind and explained the various things to us. I read reviews that said the owner was grumpy. It wasn't like that with us. With kindness and good manners.
