I Sapori del Castello In Bolsena

I ended up here by chance, seeking shelter from the cold and rain during a bike ride. Located just a few meters from the castle, among the narrow streets of the highest and perhaps most picturesque part of Bolsena. The place is small but very welcoming. Perhaps it was the "luck" of being alone, partly due to the inclement weather, but I felt right at home. The kitchen is open to the public, which I consider a very positive thing. I had an excellent tuna appetizer and a delicious amatriciana. The food was simple but well-prepared (if it were heavy fare, I wouldn't have been able to make an appetizer, first course, and second course). The owner is very friendly and, I'd almost say, whimsical. All the more reason to return if I have the chance.

Characteristic venue in the historic center of Bolsena

Small and welcoming, with friendly staff and an open kitchen, delicious and beautifully presented dishes. The dish of the day was excellent: fettuccine with creamed pumpkin, guanciale, and pecorino cheese. The Angus entrecote was tender and perfectly cooked. Congratulations! ☺️

We accidentally stumbled upon this place on our way to a nearby castle. The service was lovely and the ambiance was comfy. The staff were attentive and accommodating. The food was perfect. Everything came out hot and fresh. We ended up ordering a few dishes we never really considered and were amazingly surprised by how delicious it came out. Of course we had to end the meal with a dessert and ended up ordering a lovely pistachio tiramisu. My wife is picky when it comes to desserts and she cleaned her plate before i got to mine. This is a lovely stop. You get great service, great vibes and delicious food. We would absolutely return to this restaurant.

This friendly and welcoming place is nestled in a small alley near the castle. Friendly staff, excellent, quality food, and reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back.

Located on a narrow street in the upper part of Bolsena's historic center, we dined on the street as evening fell. Special mention goes to the pork fillet with apples and a honey and balsamic vinegar reduction. The baked calamari was excellent. The atmosphere was quiet and friendly. Congratulations!
