Had lunch here on our travels through Rome last week. Its near St. Peter's Basilica for anyone looking to enjoy a deliciously cooked meal away from the beaten path. Service was wonderful. I shared the porchetta with my son and had the carbonara. My son loved his pizza. I appreciated how quaint it was on a rainy day, for food and service, this place is excellent.

We went with my family and everything was truly delicious. 10 points for attention. We ordered carbonara, ravioli, and then tiramisu and panna cotta for dessert. Another 10 points.

A genuine welcome and service, perfectly matching the quality of the food. The taste of Italy is evident in both the dishes and the perfectly chosen glass of wine. We were looking for authentic Italian flavor, and we found it. A true gem, just 5 minutes from the Vatican, with a varied menu and incredible value. We'll be back!

Absolutely fantastic! Had the most divine ravioli in my life at this restaurant. Paired it with a great glass of Chardonnay, and ended it with a fantastic tiramisu and a cappuccino. Really had such a satisfying meal, and the first in my already 3 days of being in the city, I must say. Service is amazing too. 42 euros for a pasta, glass of wine, tiramisu and coffee is honestly amazing, especially for this quality.

The food was excellent, but the service was disastrous. We had to get up to ask for dessert, even though three people were waiting behind the bar and there were very few customers in the dining room.

We were wandering the area to find a nice place for dinner and we stumbled upon San Pietrini. The staff were very welcoming and so helpful. The meal was fantastic and they even surprised one of our group with a birthday surprise at the end of our meal. Fantastic atmosphere, would highly recommend!

My best surprise in Rome. Close to the Vatican. The price is incredibly low considering its proximity to the Vatican and the quality of the food. You'll probably only hear people speaking Italian, as it's a restaurant known to locals. After your morning visit to St. Peter's Basilica, I recommend this stop away from the crowds. For 20 euros, you'll get a high-quality bottle of wine to accompany some truly amazing dishes. The waiter will even bring a giant pepper mill to perfectly season the cacio e pepe.

15/03/2026: My girlfriend and I had lunch here and really enjoyed it. The restaurant is very close to Gemelli Hospital, so it's easy to get to and could be a wonderful discovery in the area. The place is very cute and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to dine outside and had a great time. From the start, the waiters were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming: they welcomed us warmly, promptly brought us menus, and made us feel comfortable throughout the meal. We started with a Jewish-style artichoke for two, and it was truly exceptional: probably the best I've had in Rome so far. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I eat gluten-free, so I ordered a gluten-free matriciana, which I found to be very good, tasty, and well-prepared. It's not always easy to find a well-made gluten-free dish, so I appreciated it even more. My girlfriend had a carbonara, which was very creamy and truly excellent. We also had grilled lamb with potatoes and chicory, and this dish was also very good, tasty, and well-prepared. You could taste the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in preparing them. The total bill was €55, a price we found absolutely fair for what we ate, the quality of the dishes, and the service we received. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience and it's definitely a place I'd happily return to. Five out of five stars, in my opinion.

05/12/2025: Close to Termini station, convenient and good. Carlo served us with kindness and professionalism. The amatriciana was excellent, in my opinion. Tiramisu wasn't quite to my taste.
05/12/2025: I'm not one to leave reviews, but this restaurant deserves it. I really appreciated the hospitality, even though we were tourists with two children, who we know aren't the best customers. We wanted to try traditional Roman cuisine, and this restaurant exceeded all expectations. Their homemade meatballs are AMAZING. We'll definitely be back, maybe without the kids!
