The risotto was tastier than it looked, and I recommend eating the T-bone steak with the risotto. The T-bone steak should be cooked medium well. I also recommend the tomato gnocchi over the truffle gnocchi.

Beautiful, authentic, family owned and run restaurant! Food was so fresh and the owners so lovely and accommodating. Highly recommend the risotto della casa. Can always tell a place is amazing when other guests are coming in and treated like they’re family! Always worthwhile getting off the tourist track.

We went there twice because the quality is evident and tasted. Homemade dishes, from pasta to desserts. Friendly and hospitable service. The atmosphere is clean and, in a way, unique. Its delightful decor and abundance of prosciuttos make it a feast for the eyes. Recommended!!

The place is beautifully decorated and has a traditional feel. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. And the food, what can I say...it's all excellent! Definitely a place to recommend and return to!

Nice restaurant right in the center

I returned to Mangiarino after several years and have always found it perfect in every way. Besides being right in the city center, less than 50 meters from the Duomo, it has the warm and welcoming atmosphere typical of an old-fashioned trattoria. The place is small, colorful, and cheerful, well-organized, and meticulously crafted down to the smallest details that the attentive diner can easily notice. Inviting prosciuttos hang from the ceiling, glass jars overflowing with colorful dishes are lined up like soldiers in a cheerful gastronomic parade, colorful bottles of wine alternate above the beautiful, simple dark wood tables brightened by rough paper placemats. And a few farm tools and festoons hanging here and there add a typical rustic feel. The waiter is prompt and very courteous, almost affectionate, diligent, and attentive to the customer, as is the smiling and knowledgeable lady at the cash register. The menu offers a variety of typical Tuscan flavors. Special mention goes to the generous and excellent platter of house cured meats and cheeses, and among the first courses, the pappardelle with pork ragù and the house Pigi. There's also an excellent selection of desserts. The prices are reasonable compared to other nearby establishments. Overall, truly excellent!

Food was amazing. Service was amazing. Atmosphere was amazing. What else can I say? The owner was the sweetest. Nice quiet place in the heart of Florence. I will always return here when coming to Florence❤️
