06/04/2025: Located in the heart of Florence, Italy, the Grand Hotel Baglioni is a historic four-star hotel that perfectly blends tradition with modern luxury. Since its opening in 1903, it has been a landmark building in this Renaissance city. The hotel is located near Via Tornabuoni, within walking distance of famous attractions such as the Uffizi Gallery, Ponte Vecchio and Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. It has an excellent location. The hotel is known for its elegant décor and exquisite details, with antique furniture and soaring ceilings in the lobby exuding a strong classical feel. Rooms are designed to be comfortable and modern, and many offer stunning views of the city skyline or the dome of Florence Cathedral. Particularly worth mentioning is the B-Roof restaurant on the top floor, which not only provides delicious Tuscan cuisine, but also allows guests to overlook the charming scenery of the entire city while dining. Grand Hotel Baglioni is also known for its excellent service, with warm and considerate staff dedicated to creating an unforgettable stay for travelers. The hotel also has meeting rooms and event spaces suitable for business or special occasions. Whether exploring Florence's rich cultural heritage or enjoying a romantic getaway, this is the ideal place to stay, celebrating centuries of history without sacrificing modern comfort.
01/04/2025: We booked this hotel as part of our Costco Italy trip and were not disappointed!
The only reason I'm taking off one point is that the beds were quite firm—but the hotel provided a mattress topper, which helped a lot.
One thing to note: even after taking the elevator, there are still about 10 steps to reach some rooms (we were on the 2nd floor). If stairs are an issue, I’d recommend letting the hotel know in advance—they seemed very accommodating. They did carry our bags up for us, which was much appreciated.
The breakfast was great, with beautiful views and even complimentary champagne for mimosas! The hotel is also in a perfect location—just a 2-minute walk from the train station and very close to all the major sites.
I would definitely recommend staying here, just be sure to communicate any accessibility needs ahead of time!
