Great place to eat a super stuffed focaccia or a piadina... accompanied by a spritz. Everyone is very friendly, and the guy who makes the sandwiches is a real eye-catcher, as well as being friendly.

04/01/2026: This restaurant is directly accessible from the Melia. The bar and restaurant are separated. Perhaps because we went on New Year's Day, there were few customers and staff, so the food came out all at once. As a result, some of the dishes were a little old, but it was still acceptable. Drinks and three dishes for two people cost about 50 euros. Considering the atmosphere, it was quite reasonable. The staff were also nice.
24/12/2025: Access to the restaurant from the hotel. Decorated in a Christmas theme (open December 24th), spacious, pleasant, and chic. Reservations are quick. Varied menu with dishes with original names. Fair prices. I recommend it.

17/12/2025: Our experience at Giovanni Rana is always excellent. We go to Fiordaliso after treatment at Pavia Hospital and we encounter, among other beautiful things, Guido's smile, who is always so kind, and the impeccable welcome from his colleagues, who are always efficient and dynamic, and who always guarantee us an excellent, high-quality dinner!!! Thank you guys, truly. PS: Caserecce alla boscaiola and tortelli al Castelmagno are two truly unmissable experiences!
09/12/2025: Excellent food, but above all, excellent staff!! Truly super professional and helpful people. I come here often and they always treat me the best. Big compliments to Silvana, Guido, and Desy. Guido and Desy are super young but always on point. Silvana clearly has experience and is super professional!
