I Carusi In Capo d'orlando

A good seafood restaurant right on the Capo d'Orlando seafront. I recommend booking a table outside. It's very beautiful in the evening, especially at sunset. Prices are slightly above average, but the seafood is of high quality. My only advice, if you're a large group, is to avoid ordering a thousand different dishes. After a day at the beach, it's nice to eat here while sipping a good white wine.

It's always worth returning to places where you enjoy yourself. I Carusi is one of them. Good food, well-cooked! Always fresh, top-quality fish.

I went to I Carusi restaurant one evening with my boyfriend and it was a truly pleasant experience. We dined on the terrace with a splendid sea view, which created a romantic and relaxing atmosphere. The fish was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. The staff also deserves special mention: kind, attentive, and very professional. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy an excellent seafood dinner in a charming setting. We'll definitely be back!

A truly wasted opportunity. The food is top-notch, with excellent ingredients and a cuisine that could easily compete with that of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Every dish, when executed correctly, is an explosion of flavor and quality. The location is equally promising, with attention to detail and an atmosphere that deserves much better service. Unfortunately, it's the service that ruins the experience: the staff is unprepared, disorganized, and often arrogant. The waiters, though eager, are overwhelmed with too many tasks and fail to provide the care and attention a restaurant of this caliber should offer. One incident in particular made the evening very disappointing: having a food allergy, I had to have my first course remade three times, yet without a satisfactory result, neither in terms of safety nor taste. In a restaurant like this, allergy management should be a top priority, not a poorly managed inconvenience. In short: a place with tremendous potential, but one that risks falling into oblivion if it doesn't seriously invest in training and organizing its dining room staff. What a shame.

It's a seafood restaurant on the Capo d'Orlando seafront. In addition to an indoor dining area, the restaurant also has an outdoor patio where you can enjoy a spectacular sunset overlooking the Aeolian Islands. The fish is fresh, and at the entrance there's a display case with the catch of the day. I tried the raw seafood (photo attached) and swordfish Messina-style. Parking is on the street, and you need a bit of luck to find one, especially in August. I was actually expecting something more, especially with the almond semifreddo.

The quality of the fish and its freshness are undeniable, but the portions are truly small for the price. A spaghetti with clams cost €22, which must have been 60g of pasta. The service was cold and inattentive. The glass I ordered at the beginning of the meal arrived at the end of the main course after I requested it a second time. I expected more given the location and the prices. The flavors were missing a stronger punch, a thinner sauce, better creamed. The swordfish chops were also good but not very flavorful. 2 first courses, 1 glass of wine, 1 water, 1 potato, 1 swordfish chop €81 All in all, it's just a little more generous, I'd say.

Ristorante sul mare, ben apparecchiato. Menu vario di pesce, ottima carta dei vini. Servizio attento. Peccato che abbiamo ordinato una tagliata di tonno e ci hanno portato una semplice sottile fetta di tonno arrosto. Il commis di sala ci ha molto deluso: alle nostre note ha risposto prima: vuole che gliela tagli? Poi: noi la tagliata la facciamo così. Una tagliata e’ un piatto ben identificato, di carne o pesce che sia. Se la fai in modo differente lo devi dire al momento dell’ ordinazione, non devi prendere in giro il cliente e trattarlo con arroganza, è offensivo. Nessuno sconto sul conto e nemmeno un caffè offerto.

Esperienza da non ripetere, cibo medio (anche medio-basso) a prezzi elevati, del tutto ingiustificati a mio avviso. Pesce mediocre, con cucina media, senza infamia e senza lode. Unica nota positiva, la terrazza proprio sul mare.
