I Banchi In Ragusa

I Banchi is the bistro of a starred chef, now managed with great care and expertise. A welcoming place in the heart of Ragusa Ibla, where quality is combined with an exceptional quality-price ratio. We chose the menu of the day for 35 euros: three exquisite, balanced and creative courses, finished off beautifully with a cannolo that alone is worth the trip. An accessible gourmet experience, highly recommended for those looking for signature cuisine without excessive billing. Not to be missed. The only sour note was the rush in the service, especially between the main course and dessert. Even though we asked to wait, we were told that the dessert was already arriving — an avoidable choice, given that it was not a perishable dessert.

We had a beautiful evening here! The fixed price is a great deal and it was great to have a completely vegetarian option. We started with a Sicilian champagne which was recommended by our server and was delicious. All the food and wines were great and service was well paced and attentive.

They always give the best, excellent 1.2kg rib eye, world class peppers and mashed potatoes, super wine. Trust me. It works

For me, eating is something extremely serious. I have been working in the sector for many years. The dinner, a 7-course tasting menu and 5 extra dishes to be able to try most of the menu. The flavours are good, you can tell the raw materials are of a good quality. The wow effect that I have perceived in many other Sicilian restaurants is missing. I never had the impression of eating dishes worthy of being awarded a Michelin star. But on the other hand I understand, and it pains me to say it because I respect Chef Sultano a lot, that sometimes the politics of sponsorships come into play. The service, of the 13 dishes eaten, explained two dishes to us, among other things at our request. Waiters who, to clear the table, passed their arms in front of us. We asked to go slowly with the menus to bring one dish at a time, but nothing. The first 4 dishes arrived in 10 minutes. After I pointed it out, they slowed down. I thought about whether to write these lines or not. I know they will be a waste of time. But I hope there is a surge of pride from the staff. You work for one of the greatest chefs we have in Italy, you should be proud and give more than your best, even if the hours are endless Thanks for the dinner

Excellent gourmet cuisine with a 35-euro menu. Very good wines. We enjoyed them two nights in a row, once inside the beautiful interior and the other outside. Highly recommended!

Inspiriert durch die Suche im Michelin Führer sind wir auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Vorab das positive, unbedingt lohnenswert der Besuch von Ragusa. Das IBanchi liegt dort zentral in einem wunderschönen alten Gebäude mit Tradition. Das Restaurant hat seinen eigenen positiven Charme. Hinsichtlich der Menüs und der gesamten Speisekarte hatten wir aber eine andere, höhere, Erwartungshaltung. Es ist eine sizilianische inspirierte Küche, die ein gewisses Maß an Kreativität hat. Aber nicht annähernd etwas mit Sterneniveau. Trotzdem alles lecker und dazu dann auch ein richtig gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhltnis. Der Service ist auf dem gleichen Niveau.

Solo unas pocas mesas ocupadas por lo que nos sentaron a todos en la ante - habitación justo al lado de la tienda en lugar de la zona de comedor mucho mejor. Agradable camarero; menú engorroso y carta de vinos todo hecho a través de QR así que ni idea de lo que pasa si no tienes un teléfono inteligente. La comida era mixta: una pasta de marisco era buena mientras que una siciliana era pesada en la pasta de tomate y no mucho más. Dos huéspedes tenían pescado que les gustó mucho, pero un cerdo glaseado era simplemente aburrido. La impresión general fue de muy poco esfuerzo realizado por el dinero, y muy poca preocupación sobre si alguien vendría por segunda vez.
