Il ristorante è situato in un punto molto panoramico e per raggiungerlo occorre fare una bella salita, ma tutto sommato si è ben ricompensati. Il personale è accogliente, i piatti ben cucinati: ottimo il sauté alle vongole, altrettanto gli spaghetti con taralli e vongole - condimenti strepitosi, ben volentieri abbiamo inzuppato il pane! -, peccato però che in molte vongole si sentisse ....la sabbia!, ciò che non dovrebbe accadere, tanto più in un locale con (giuste) pretese di eccellenza. Buonissimo e scenografico il babà. Prezzi non modici ma meritati.

Excellente table avec vue sur mer (pensez à réserver une table en terrasse!). Les portions ne sont pas copieuses-c’est le seul bémol- mais tout est délicieux: j’ai pris un carpaccio de crevettes en entrée puis du lapin, puisque c’est la spécialité d’Ischia, et enfin un cake délicieux en dessert, le tout arrosé d’un Aperol spritz. Mon compagnon a pris du thon en plat et m’a dit que c’était délicieux, idem pour son dessert « vachement bon » au fondant de chocolat. La serveuse lui a conseillé un vin blanc local qu’il a trouvé bon et original bien que très fruité. Très bonne adresse. Nous en avons eu pour 119€ à deux.

Arrived at the port and took the crowded bus to the hotel, which was about a 40 minute drive, took a bus ticket for 3 days at 11 euros, very cheap. Upon arrival at the hotel we received a detailed explanation of what to do on the island. Very warm welcome, we felt very welcome. We had a room with a sea view, just beautiful. The hotel has a breathtaking view, that's why we booked it. We had booked a room with half board. I just want to warn everyone. Do not take a room with half board. Because guess what. If you take half board, which of course you also pay for, you are not allowed to sit on the terrace outside with a breathtaking view. Specially booked this hotel to have dinner with such a view, and then you have to sit inside in a courtyard without a view. Terrace is apparently for customers of the a la carte restaurant. If we had known that 🤔 There are people sitting there eating, each with 1 pizza, which is not expensive, and 1 drink. While we ordered an aperitif, wine, water, .... We did not think this was possible and therefore did not accept it. Staff was unfriendly because we gave our opinion. Not nice when you are traveling to be confronted with this. For the rest, nothing from this hotel but good. Rooms clean, fresh towels every time. Breakfast also okay, just basic. Friendly boss, who regularly chats with you. The island of Ischia is beautiful, but I fear that, like many islands in Italy, it will become super touristy and will attract crowds of people. Positano and Amalfi, mass tourism. Lots of Americans 🫣

My husband and I spent a lovely week here in June’24. The main thought about the hotel: you can forgive it everything for the view😍
Among the pros it’s also worth noting:
+ great communication with the hotel staff before and during the stay; despite some of them don’t speak English, they have willingness to help with all your questions (f.e. transfer organisation or advice on visiting attractions);
+ good location of the hotel, it’s in super position surrounded everything you may need;
+ excellent internal structure of the hotel, there are places to relax indoors and outdoors.
Among the cons are:
- poor room equipment - by default there is no kettle, hairdryer, …even glasses/dishes (yes, we asked and got these things, but the appliances were pretty old and in one copy for the whole hotel);
- cleaning of the rooms consists of folding towels and making the bed, changing to clean sheets/towels and wet cleaning weren’t done even once during our stay;
- sun launders on the patio were covered with dirty mattresses so we could use it only after cleaning them by ourselves;
- they have a strange rule about bottled water: you can get one bottle 0.5L for 2 persons during the breakfast, but after you can’t get it and should pay; however, the hotel does not have a water cooler or something like that.
And one thing that can be perceived as a plus for one and a minus for the other is breakfast: the same every day, but not super-varied, mostly sweet, without eggs.
