Only tried the bar and restaurant in the center of Santa Caterina (if a micro town can have a centre), honorable mention because they also allow you to dine at 8pm (the restaurant next door closes the kitchen at 7pm). Maybe we were the only Italians among many Germans, high prices (€7 a side of chips) but by choosing the right things from the menu you can eat well without spending a lot. We still spent half...

The Hotel Sport is a good recommendation for people who focus on sport, the landscape and location. Service is great and everyone is very nice. The location is great. The ski bus, for example, leaves directly opposite, once over the bridge. Only the rooms are getting old and in need of some renovation.

Clean and functional rooms. Friendly service good food. Located right at the foot of Gavia Pass. Bikers with and without motors are welcome. For Italy, high price level.

14/01/2025: Wonderful restaurant - we dined here while staying in the hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive, and we appreciated their efforts. Breakfast spread (for hotel customers) is a spread of meats, cheese, preserved fruits, cereals, baked goods, and a few hot options including pancakes, bacon, and eggs. They also have fresh juice and coffee. Dinner menu is great - we had the “house board” every night which allowed you to choose from a set menu. Portions were generous, diverse range of options each night, and very very tasty. There is also a self service salad bar and a wonderful range of tasty desserts.

08/01/2025: Only enjoyed a burger. Really good. Spacious room and very clean bathrooms.
06/01/2025: We ate there on New Year's Eve, very good food, especially the meat. Good wine list. The service that evening with a full house was very good. We will definitely return.
