Hotel Scapolatiello—where do I even begin to describe it? Let me start with accessibility and location. The hotel is located in the old town (in the mountains) of Cava de' Tirreni. You can drive all the way to the hotel and park there for a reasonable fee. We were driving a Citroën C4, and the narrow alleyway mentioned online was manageable with this car (a few centimeters of space on either side). The hotel is a 200-year-old building that was built, or appears to be part of, an old defensive wall. It offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The ambiance of the hotel can be described as authentically luxurious and romantic. The hotel restaurant has a fine menu, and the dishes are all delicious and of good quality. But above all, I want to mention the gentlemen serving us; they made our evening every time. They offered excellent wine recommendations, were friendly, and were never too pushy. If you stay at the hotel, be sure to take a walk around the abbey and the nature reserve behind it.

A charming location, clean rooms, a varied and plentiful breakfast, and helpful waitstaff worthy of a 4-star hotel. The pool is nestled in the Corpo di Cava mountains. I was particularly impressed by the kindness and attentiveness of the pool attendant, Francesco.

A beautiful hotel, idyllically situated in the mountains behind Salerno, with stunning outdoor areas and excellent service. Dinner in the hotel's restaurant, with a view of the mountains bathed in the colors of the setting sun, is highly recommended.

The best experience with this hotel. The staff was so kind and helpful and their restaurant is extremely good and the waiters there so nice. We wanted a room with a good view and weren’t really happy with the first room we got, so we asked if we could switch rooms which we could, made our stay so much better! Since we didnt rent a car the location was a bit too far from everything else, but definitely would go back, just with a car next time 😊

Historic hotel in a secluded location and particularly pleasant in the warmer periods, exceptional staff (except for 1 person, perhaps on a bad day), excellent restaurant, if I can give a suggestion, expand a little the choice of the currently limited menu and without proposals for vegans, in any case an excellent experience

Magnificent place, incredible setting. -Friendly staff. -Free parking nearby. - Top-notch breakfast and excellent restaurant. - Quiet and relaxing. The only slight "hitch" is the soundproofing of the rooms; you can hear the noise... Otherwise, it's perfect!

Beautiful place, relaxing atmosphere, delicious food. Bit difficult to get to as bus times not accurate. Taxi a bit pricey. Friendly service from staff. Room is clean and the garden is beautiful.

Gutes Hotel im Hinterland der Amalfiküste, saubere nette Zimmer, Gutes Restaurant - sehr freundliches und hilfsbereite Personal. Benediktiner Abtei fußläufig erkundbar. Anfahrt eng, ganz am Schluss eine Engstelle, die aber durchfahren werden kann. Einige Parkplätze vor dem Hotel.
