We stayed here for a week. The hotel is essentially a gem – its unparalleled proximity to the beach might make one or two flaws a little easier to overlook. Our room was relatively small, but it did have a balcony where you could admire the sunset or sit comfortably with a glass of wine later on. The service was excellent, and the rooms were immaculate. The breakfast was fine and perfectly adequate. At the time of our stay, the restaurant was no longer serving dinner, but various fish and seafood dishes were available for lunch. These were also very delicious. We would definitely like to return.

A short stop is always worthwhile

We discovered it purely by chance while browsing the maps. We chose it because it's one of the few literally on the beach, isolated and quiet. It's true, as other reviews have stated, that the 1970s building could use some updating, but the room rates are very reasonable (€85 for two people with breakfast). Breakfast was more than adequate and varied for us, with fresh fruit, croissants, bread, butter, jam, homemade cake, cold cuts and cheese, fruit juice, and coffee. We had room 18 with a sea view, room 17 is next door with a sea view, and room 12 is the only one directly facing the sea, but it's smaller and the bathroom doesn't have a window. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked throughout the property. Occasionally, there were sewage odors coming from the toilet, but nothing serious, especially since the windows were always open. The restaurant is closed in the evenings but is open at midday. During our five-day stay, both the owner and the waitress made sure we were provided with everything we needed. The seafood we ate on our last day was very good. Ample free parking in front of the hotel. The sound of the sea lapping day and night is priceless; it's a wonderful experience we recommend everyone experience at least once in their life. We'll definitely be back at Canneto ☺️

Top-notch service and quality. Strategic location. Superlative dishes.

In my review, I want to highlight both the restaurant and the hotel where we stayed for two nights: I'll start by saying that the staff was very kind to us. I found it absolutely overpriced to eat a burrata with Cantabrian sardines for €15. The room was nice, an older model, overlooking the sea (with a beautiful view). The only shame was the strong, unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. The siphon didn't work, so the smell of the sewer was unbearable at times. We also noticed a malfunction on the sink lever, which unfortunately blocked the flow of water constantly, forcing you to touch that obviously dirty sink. The included breakfast was nothing more than a croissant and coffee or cappuccino, which for me was insufficient. The price was completely reasonable for the high season. I'm sure that by fixing these things, the hotel could easily achieve higher reviews.
