Hotel Remilia In Reggio nell'emilia

Good hotel booked last minute. The restaurant inside is excellent given the hotel's location outside the city center.

I have done a training course several times but the room was dirty and the bar service was poor.

About ten days before arriving at the hotel, I emailed to inquire about the restaurant. They told me it was open and available. So, I decided to eat there. I arrived at the hotel (there's ample, free parking in front) and found it incredibly chaotic (a group, maybe a conference). I checked in and asked if I could have dinner. They told me they had 120 people, which wasn't possible. I was disappointed. They could have at least let me know or offered dinner in my room. Furthermore, I noticed a €25 set menu on the counter, offering a choice of two first courses and two second courses. I hadn't been told this either. I arrived in a spacious, clean, and basic room with two free bottles of water in the minibar and a TV with Sky channels. The bed was very comfortable, but I found the shower curtain missing. In a 4-star hotel, I would have expected more. The next morning, we went down for breakfast about an hour before closing (€9.50), and I didn't find the sausages listed on the website, only bacon and scrambled eggs (very good). The cold cuts tray was half empty and never refilled. The dried fruit for the yogurt was also empty and never refilled. There was no water, and none of the three breakfast staff were present in the room at all times, even to take orders for hot drinks. You had to wait for someone to come out of the kitchen where they were holed up. I asked for cold cuts twice, and they brought a small plate of chainsaw-cut cooked ham to the table just for me. I've stayed at B&B hotels several times (which I love), and this was unfortunately the worst. That doesn't mean I won't continue to return to your chain.
