An Exceptional Stay – We’re Already Planning Our Return! From the moment we arrived, our experience at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional—even with a small mix-up with our airport transfer. The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was both comfortable and memorable. A heartfelt thank you to Allesa (apologies if I’ve misspelled her name) at the front desk—her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made check-in seamless and every interaction a genuine pleasure. Likewise, Vincenzo (again, apologies if the name isn’t quite right), the restaurant manager, stood out for his incredible patience, kindness, and commitment to exceptional service, making every dining experience a joy. The night-duty bar staff were also incredibly friendly and accommodating—always ready with a warm smile and hot water for my nightly tea. The hotel itself is simply stunning, with breathtaking views that never get old. It’s ideally located, surrounded by a variety of fantastic restaurants and just a short walk from the train station, which made getting around so convenient. The wellness facilities, serene pool area, and easy beach access were sensational—perfect for rest, rejuvenation, and soaking in the beautiful surroundings. This hotel is more than a place to stay—it’s an experience. We can’t wait to return!

We spent 4 days at the Hotel Mary, using it as our home base for exploring the Sorento/Positano region. The location was ideal and the setting was perfect. The rooms were lovely and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants to explore this region without being caught in the tourist hustle and bustle of the other regions.

The location of the hotel is convenient for walking around the area. Free valley parking is very convenient. Beautiful view and pleasant balcony and pool area. The rooms are very simple, a small superior room, there were broken things, a small and uncomfortable bathroom, thin and unpleasant towels. We asked for an extra blanket, they didn't understand what we wanted, they finally brought a wool blanket, we asked for a regular blanket, they brought it without a cover and in the end we had to watch ourselves. When we complained at the reception, we felt disrespected and felt like they didn't care. The breakfast is nice and nothing more. We sat on the balcony, not in the restaurant area, they told us that we drank our can of Coke, emphasizing that it wasn't in the restaurant area, just in the observation area, unnecessary and unpleasant. The hotel is not cheap and is defined as 4 stars, less than that, we felt that way.

We are loving hotel mary. We have used it as a base to see the local area, in particular pompei, vesuvius, amalfi coast and capri.  The hotel is beautiful, the room we are in number 501 is elegant, spacious and perfect with plenty of storage - we have a rear door that opens to our own outdoor table and chairs, and just 30 footsteps you are at the outdoor pool area with infinity pool and all of this faces the coastline with spectacular views and sunsets - the views are incredible. Our breakfast is included with our room and that is fantastic.  The quality of the ingredients, but more importantly the quality of service and high standards are simply the most exceptional of any hotel we've ever stayed in. Francesco on reception suggested some local restaurants in Vice Equense, as well as the one in the hotel.  We tried the other restaurants which were great, however the Vistamare hotel restaurant is exceptional.  The food is of such high quality, perfectly presented and tasting incredible, and the service from Vincenzo and the other amazing waiters is spmething we have not experienced beforehand, outstanding.  The chef clearly knows how to prepare food to a high calibre.  I don't think we will be dining anywhere else, this is the best. The hotel is clean and beautifully presented, the decor is to a high standard, and the staff are all kind (and beautiful) and do so much to welcome you as guests. I love this place.  We have only been here 3 days but it's my favourite hotel in Italy. Thank you, Jonny and Emma ❤️

We chose this hotel on our family trip to Amalfi Coat. The hotel in Vico Equense is very well located, as we were able to drive to Positano, Amalfi, Napoli and Sorrento We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mary. We had an ocean-view room and can say that the views were spectacular. Cleaning staff cannot do enough for you as the room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Valet parking was easy, which made things so much more convenient, they only ask you to tell them 10 minutes in advance as you would like to depart and they will bring the car out for you. All staff were absolutely fantastic and friendly with us and our 4-year-old twins. Reception staff gave us good advice about Vico Equense, and surrounding towns important touristic locations, best restaurants and cafes, and also told us the best place to parc in Positano. Hotel Mary restaurant staff were also great, attentive, and always making sure we had everything we needed. We’ve enjoyed the complimentary breakfast at the hotel, we’ve also had dinner a few times and all food was delicious. You have a fabulous view overlooking the sea from the Restaurant and Terrace. Overall, a great experience, and we’d definitely stay here again.

Magnifico.!! What a splendid hotel on the coast, great views , rooms, and view of the coast line from the great swimming pool. Restaurant food was very nice however for the bigger eaters you might need double… Bar was great and the local town was minutes away taking in the coast line scenes. Staff were brilliant 🤩 almost too brilliant a lunch with 4 waiting on your every empty plate :) we will definitely be back here next year. Thank you for a great stay and service.

Fantastic hotel and hospitality, Extremely clean and great views. The staff were friendly and helpful from the front desk to the car park attendant (Roberto). A special mention for Vincenzo who really made us feel welcome during the breakfast and evening dining.

Very pleasant hotel with excellent cleanliness of rooms and public areas. Location is ideal for photos and breaking out to Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento etc. With feee parking would definitely recommend getting a hire care (if you’re not a nervous driver!) Only downside is wafer thin walls and wall mounted TVs meaning you can hear every word of Bradley Walsh (or his Italian/German/French equivalents depending on neighbours) - and obvs all conversations and other events

Had an amazing 4 night stay at Hotel Mary! Vico Equense is a quiet area with a local flavor that provides authentic Italian experiences. This hotel is perfectly located along the coast, only 10 minutes from the city square, the train, and the water! The staff were very genuine, attentive, friendly, and accommodating! The breakfast buffet had numerous options including one of a kind pastries, fresh fruit, juices, eggs, jams, cheeses, etc. The dinner was delicious with great presentation. The view from the room and terrace was breathtaking!! The spa was a special treat and so was the infinity pool. Our first vacation to the coast of Italy couldn’t have been better! Hotel Mary far exceeded our expectations!
