Hotel Col Serena In Etroubles

We had lunch yesterday in this characteristic place. We had a really good lunch and everything was delicious and the managers were also kind and helpful... it's a shame that the lunch was ruined by a blonde lady with very restless children who started shouting for no reason at the managers, ruining the atmosphere in the local. Sin.

While passing through Etroubles we stopped in this charming place for something to eat. Although it wasn't a beautiful day as it was cloudy we sat on the very beautiful outdoor veranda full of flowers. We ate very well, herb ravioli and gnocchi with Aosta blue fondue and finally two excellent desserts. The only flaw was having a family with very restless children next to our table who were jumping all over the terrace and causing a disturbance. The mother (a blonde lady with long hair and a headband like a flower child) did nothing to keep them at bay. In the meantime we noticed the behavior of the lady who repeatedly asked for the list of allergens on the various menus, making the waiters go back and forth without specifying which intolerance she had. After several attempts we discover (since we were close we could hear everything) that one of the lady's children is allergic to eggs. The chef comes out to talk and tries to find a solution but the lady attacked without leaving the chef a chance to speak. We felt embarrassed thinking about this mother and the example she was setting in front of her children. At the end of lunch the blonde lady's show went on when it was time to pay, loudly claiming that she had had a bad time, that she was Ligurian (I don't know what that has to do with it!) and that she was an important manager (who knows what). and that she would never return! We, even more embarrassed by the unpleasant situation, cheered up the managers and the other diners with us and wished them never to find such customers again! Despite this inconvenience caused by a rude customer, we will certainly return because we ate very well and enjoyed an excellent view. Thank you and hold on dear managers, rude and mangy customers are always around 😓

I stayed one night in this comfortable hotel. The rooms are nice, equipped with excellent mattresses. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend it

I don't usually go to hotels for lunch, even if they have a restaurant, because I found myself disappointed. Today I wanted to try this. I was immediately won over by the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, and by the location on the flowered terrace. But the best and best surprise were the dishes I tasted. Presentation like a great chef and everything from starters to desserts excellent. I will certainly return

Abbiamo cenato qui durante una vacanza in famiglia a Etroubles. Siamo stati subito accolti calorosamente dal personale, tutti disponibilissimi anche col nostro terremoto di un anno e mezzo. I consigli su menu e vino sono stati precisi e molto ben accetti. Abbiamo mangiato un ottimo tagliere di salumi e formaggi locali accompagnato da pomodorini secchi e frutta secca, un tortino di verdure, due primi (gnocchetti al blu d'Aosta e pasta al ragù con tartufo) e prosciutto alla griglia con tomino, tutto molto buono. La terrazza con splendida vista sul borgo e le montagne circostanti, insieme alla gentilezza dei proprietari, aggiungono una nota piacevole alla permanenza.

We stopped to eat at the restaurant and we were delighted, the chef's professionalism is unmatched... not to mention the friendliness of the family who welcomed us and made us feel at home so much so that we even stopped to sleep, which say spotless rooms and excellent service...I will be back soon☺️

Il personale (proprietaria?) ci ha accolti con gentilezza nonostante l’ora tardiva (21h) per permetterci di cenare (eravamo in sette) Abbiamo cenato molto bene da provare l’eccellente polenta con lo spezzatino e ottimi dessert. Ancora grazie per l’accoglienza
