Amazing restaurant, starting with it’s location in the hearth of Casteggio and Oltrepò Hills.
Food is driven by high quality of fresh ingredients, where innovation and taste surprises are then mixed into what creates an excellent culinary experience.
The wine selection is simply outstanding, but I suggest to focus on the bubbles of Metodo Classico produced in the wineries around. Service is accurate, professional but also adding a gentle smile, making you feel being among old friends.
Budget $80 per person if you also add a great bottle of wine. Booking is a must.

Late July 2025, dinner with a friend
The place is enchanting, with a spacious exterior and a tastefully decorated interior.
Cuttlefish stuffed with scallops, with its ink mixed with 100% chocolate, among the best cuttlefish I've ever eaten, even cooked.
Nettle risotto with sweet garlic cream, cooked and raw red shrimp, slightly salty, beautiful to look at as well as delicious, perfectly cooked.
Entrees and breads were excellent, but the breads were better.
Superlative service, thanks to Elena, a young but already highly skilled sommelier who embodies the soul of hospitality that many of her older colleagues and those in other restaurants could learn from. Detailed but not verbose explanations, elegant manners, polite gestures, a smile, and perfect management of unexpected events.
Detail: at a certain point between the appetizer and the main course, they offered us a mini fried fish dish (good) because the kitchen decided the risotto that was coming out wasn't good. So they make it again, and to pass the time, they choose this solution, which is appreciated.
The risotto arrives, perfectly cooked but slightly salty when I ask for it, so Elena, always in agreement with the kitchen, brings three raw red prawns to add to the risotto to sweeten the bites. A perfect choice.

Good experience, starting with a wonderful raw fish dish, worthy of a full 5-star, but then we dropped off slightly until we got to the desserts, which were good yes, but definitely could have been better...

Fantastic place, nice and welcoming, the waiters, despite being young, gave their best, I ate a risotto and a raw ham, I took a bottle of sparkling wine and I spent €80 for what I ate, excellent value for money, compliments to the chef and all the staff

Locale storico situato nella parte alta di Casteggio.
Locazion molto elegante e curata.
Ho provato il loro menu da 6 portate e direi tutto perfetto.
Ovviamente il prezzo è medio alto ma va compensato con l elevata qualità e la ricercatezza dei piatti

Abbiamo festeggiato il compleanno di mio nipote in famiglia in questo meraviglioso ristorante sui colli dell’ oltrepo’pavese. In realtà ci veniamo spesso poiché abbiamo sempre trovato un’ottima cucina (attenta ai dettagli e ai tempi di sevizio), camerieri molto professionali e un menu’ ricco con piatti della zona (riso carnaroli) anche rivisitati ! La materia sempre di alta qualità e carta dei vini molto ricca. Abbiamo preso degli antipasti di carne e di pesce (calamari e tartare ), primi come risotto carnaroli con gamberi e ortiche (meraviglioso e delicato!), plin con stoccafisso dal sapore forte e deciso , fritto misto di pesce croccante e asciutto ! Il dolce , torta di compleanno per mio nipote , ordinata ad una pasticceria esterna veramente ottima e a seguire ventaglietti con crema fatti al momento ! Non mancavano poi dei bicchierini di crema e mousse di frutta col caffè ! Vini bianchi ottimi …. Location davvero strepitosa ! Curata e moderna con luce soft …quindi adatta anche a coppie ! Consigliato a chi ama cucina di qualità abbinata a una location molto tranquilla e raccolta. Esperienza da rifare …⭐️⭐️⭐️
