Great food! We ordered the mussels and the pesto risotto and both were delicious. The prosecco pour was very generous. Service was efficient and friendly. And the location is very very central but not too noisy. Highly recommend!

Deliciosa comida en un bello entorno y un servicio excelente. Comimos filetes perfectamente cocinados, pasta con ragú de jabalí y pasta con tinta de sepia y cangrejo; todos estaban fabulosos. La tarta de queso y frutos rojos, el tiramisú y el pastel de pistachos fundido fueron un final encantador para la comida.

Today for lunch I went to this tavern located in the historic center of Pisa. It offers typical traditional Tuscan dishes, served in rather generous portions. After choosing the wine, a good half bottle of Chianti Superiore "Meme" 2023, from the Petrognano company in Montelupo Fiorentino (FI), I started with bruschetta with sausage, Colonnata lard and a small piece of melted pecorino cheese, very tasty even if perhaps the bruschetta bread was a little high and hard. For the second course I had a very good sliced beef with Colonnata lard, served perfectly rare, a real delight. A water and a coffee complete the meal, for a final bill of 57 Euros, to be considered fair. Recommended place.

We read the reviews and they say it's good. I had the pesto risotto for €16. For me, a risotto is creamy, but this one wasn't at all, and there was crushed mozzarella on top. We ordered 2022 Montepulciano wine from the menu, and they brought us 2023 Montepulciano; they just need to change their menu. In short, not great.

A wonderful dinner in the heart of Pisa!
Hosteria da Fermento is a gem with a truly Tuscan soul. We ordered Chianina beef wrapped in thin, melt-in-your-mouth smoked bacon – heaven on a plate. To this, papardelle with Chianina ragù – perfectly cooked pasta and meat that falls apart in your mouth. Antipasti with local cold cuts is a feast in itself – excellent quality and taste.
Wine – delicious, regional, perfectly matched.
Service – real added value. The waiter was genuinely advising, friendly and knowledgeable about the cuisine.
This is a place you want to come back to. Thank you for an evening full of flavours and atmosphere!

25 Aprile, senza prenotazione, Pisa davvero strapiena e molti ristoranti, pur in coppia, ci hanno rifiutato l'ingresso perchè pieni. Per fortuna l'Hosteria da Fermento ci ha salvato la serata con un posto carino, un servizio veloce e cortese, un ottimo tagliere accompagnato dal classico rosso. Serata molto buona, per un posto che chiaramente prenderemo ancora in considerazione.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant recently. The food was good, average, with well prepared and tasty dishes. However, the service was very slow, which was the only flaw of the lunch. Luckily, the sun was shining and I relaxed, enjoying the calm and pleasant atmosphere. Overall, it was a positive experience.

The owner is very very friendly and the atmosphere is cozy, familiar and chic. People in Pisa are very polite and delicate, in general. Very good food and wine! I ordered a tagliata di manzo with cipolla and I felt many flavors together.. UMAMI.. very delicious! Go!
