I went to the Del Capel Rosso tavern on the occasion of the "Bagna Cauda day" and I must say that I was satisfied, the bagna cauda was really good, served with both raw and cooked vegetables, the staff stopped by several times to ask if you wanted the encore...and some even the trio...A more than positive experience.

Just arrived from NYC specially to eat at Hosteria Del Capel Rosso, We didn't have reservations, the restaurant was full but the host offered us a table just for 1.1/2 hours. let me tell you the 90 minutes food and wine experience was worth it highly recommended. next time I'm definitely making sure I have reservations.

My wife and I had a good time.
Toma and hazelnut risotto and fried egg with spinach on pumpkin cream. Agnolotti with particular ragù and stewed snails. 1 dessert, white bunet. Waterfall. €55. The egg was amazing. Acceptable price for food and service

I invited two of my clients to eat at Capel Rosso and as usual it was a perfect lunch. The menu, simple but refined at the same time, satisfies everyone. The cuisine is nothing short of divine. We were served impeccably by the waitress who was attentive, punctual, friendly and very competent also in the food and wine field. He recommended a perfect Grignolino next to what we had ordered. As the sweet tooth that I am, the hazelnut dessert is something special! But the icing on the cake were the artisan biscuits that accompanied the coffee. We always choose Capel Rosso for our special occasions and will always choose it.

Spectacular. I was in Vercelli for work and ate here. I took some off the menu, fried mushrooms, delicious. Deer, an extremely tender and good meat and finally a nice bunet. Nice and friendly staff. Great food

Watson and I are in Vercelli this week at the Capel Rosso tavern. It is a small place at the beginning of Corso Libertà (or rather in the first street on the right) welcoming and well kept. The staff, a girl of Portuguese origins, welcomes us smiling and very politely. The cuisine is typical Piedmontese with rejuvenating presentations, so the tartare becomes 3 raw meatballs with 3 different sauces. The Panissa from Vercelli is in the tradition, but a little lighter in fat while the duck (for me) and the ribs for Watson are served in modern-day fashion. With water and coffee as well as a bottle of 2017 Bramaterra Gaggiano we spend €75 each. If you like traditional cuisine and precise, welcoming places with the right number of seats and informal, this is the place for you.
