We went to this restaurant in Ultimo before the concert. Despite the place being packed, the service was quick and the staff were friendly. The food was very good, typical Roman food. We'll definitely be back! I recommend it ☺️

I organized a dinner with my friends, we all had a great time, the place is located a stone's throw from the GRA, welcoming and spacious environment, excellent appetizers and excellent and plentiful first courses, personally I had the rigatoni with ricotta, bacon and sausage... spectacular, the service is fast and helpful, fair price for what we ate, I will gladly return, they also do set menus

I hadn't been there since the new management took over. Today I went with my sister. The food was divine, I've never had such a good steak. The owner and staff were very kind. See you very soon.

We started with an extraordinary Roman appetizer: medallions stuffed with caciocavallo cheese and oxtail stew—a creative and delicious idea that combines two souls of Roman cuisine in a single bite. The stringy caciocavallo cheese blends with the rich, deep oxtail stew, slow-cooked according to tradition. An appetizer that surprises and captivates, absolutely not to be missed. The first courses also hit the mark: creamy and perfect rigatoni carbonara, a homemade pesto of the kind you'll find no longer, and fettuccine with sparerib sauce that was simply fantastic—a slow, flavorful, mouth-watering ragù. Every dish at the table was different, but the enthusiasm was unanimous. The highlight? A simply magnificent grilled steak—perfect crust, juicy interior, and full of character, served with a side of sautéed vegetables. The meat speaks for itself: excellent quality, impeccably cooked. One of the best I've had in Rome. But what makes this place truly special are the people. Massimiliano, the host, is the beating heart of the hosteria: welcoming, passionate, and makes you feel like a guest from the first moment. Gabriele in the dining room is attentive, helpful, and has that touch of Roman charm that immediately puts you at ease. Fair prices for unquestionable quality. Last week I visited this fantastic hosteria in the Giardinetti neighborhood, and the experience was nothing short of perfect. I was looking for a genuine place and found a true gem off the beaten path. I ate divinely, and the bill was a delightful surprise: the value for money is absolutely unbeatable. The dishes are pure Roman tradition, expertly prepared, rich in flavor, and served in generous portions. The real added value, however, was the atmosphere. I found myself immersed in a warm and unexpectedly familiar environment, and much of the credit goes to Massimiliano, the owner and chef. I had the pleasure of meeting him in person: he's a truly down-to-earth, friendly, and welcoming man, as well as being an absolutely exceptional chef! He's the soul of the place and manages to make you feel immediately at home, with the hospitality typical of true neighborhood trattorias of yesteryear. If you're looking for the authentic soul of Rome, where good food and friendly service prevail, Cacio e Pepe in Giardinetti is a must-visit. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

The staff was extremely kind, helpful, and always attentive without being intrusive. The dishes are generous, carefully prepared, and above all rich in flavor: you immediately notice the quality of the ingredients and the respect for tradition. The cacio e pepe, of course, was the highlight: creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The main courses and side dishes were also excellent, all truly well-prepared.
