Welcoming place, staff (perhaps they are the owners) attentive to every detail. Delicious dishes......the pumpkin tortelli...fantastic. And what about the desserts....super. Small details that express attention such as bringing sweets with coffee. Excellent value for money. We will definitely be back. Compliments to the chef and staff/owners.

It rarely happens that you are surprised by a dish. Much more rarely from an entire dinner. Bitter herb tortelli are truly a unique experience for those who have never tried them. Beyond the intrinsic goodness of a dish with a long tradition, I believe that what makes those of Hostaria Viola unique is a very thin and tender pasta and the choice of phenomenal butter. If we then extend the judgment to the famous guinea fowl inspired by the writings of Bartolomeo Stefani, seventeenth-century chef of the Gonzaga family, we can only say that the amazement extended to the entire dinner. Sorry, I didn't have dessert: I asked for an encore of tortelli. But I tasted the peach lying on a bed of cream from whoever was with me, and there too was pure pleasure. All in a place where ancient and modern come together with discreet grace, a smiling, fast service, with a lot of willingness to explain without absolutely falling into self-celebration of the "philosophies" that are so fashionable. Congratulations: the young people of Hostaria Viola, heirs of a century-old tradition and walls as solid as buttresses, have invented a way to amaze.

Excellent dinner with a group of friends, everything was very well looked after from the starter to the excellent first courses, the second courses and the desserts were super. The impeccable service shows the care put into the preparations, compliments to all the staff.

La prima volta che ho cenato mi sono trovata molto bene (circa 5 mesi fa), recentemente invece mi ha deluso. Menu scarso con poche scelte: su 6 antipasti 3 sono composti da affettato. I primi piatti sono costituiti per lo più da pasta ripiena (1 solo fuori menu), e i secondi comunque sono pochi. Insomma si va per esclusione non essendoci un buon numero di piatti proposti. Anche i vini sono scarsi: un solo Lugana proposto nella carta dei vini (proprio lì che il Lugana fa da padrone!) Il prezzo che si paga è congruo e le materie prime impiegate sono di buona qualità. Peccato per il menu che è veramente scarso e poco fantasioso. Il locale è carino ed elegante cenato noi. Arrivando da fuori zona non so se ci tornerò. Non vale la pena fare tanta strada per mangiare così.
