Cozy and well-distributed environment: it's a shame that there isn't a front door and with the winter climate some gusts can enter when the door is opened. Professional and empathetic service. The service at €3.50 seems excessive to me. The puree is excellent, the Rovato type beef is excellent, the 30 month raw meat is excellent, the risotto and onion soup are normal. The chestnut cake didn't have the right consistency for me

It is a very welcoming restaurant, soberly elegant, with very courteous and attentive staff. The quality of the dishes we chose was excellent. I also had these impressions on previous visits.

Hostaria Viola is an excellent Mantua-style restaurant. We found out about it through a friend and we can only say: Top, top, top. The food is excellent and the wine selection is exceptional.

Wir waren bereits zum 3. mal hier. Immer wieder sehr gut. Freundliche Bedienung, italienisches Ambiente, Stoffservietten. Schöne Speisekarte, guter Wein. Dieses Restaurant ist bereits seit 2009 oder 2010 vom Guide Michelin mit einem Bip bedacht. Zu recht. Es liegt etwas versteckt, aber wenn man, dank Navi, einmal hin gefunden hat, kommt man immer wieder.

08/02/2025: Reported by Michelin, a nice discovery in Mantua. Traditional dishes but with a look beyond the hedge. The cured meats served were exceptional. Generous and tasty pumpkin tortelli. I expected something more from the stuffed squid but the raw materials were excellent. The service was very courteous and informal. The place is nice but small. Better to book. Prices are adequate.
04/01/2025: Excellent service. The pumpkin tortelli took me back to my grandmother's time. Perfect dough.
