Unforgettable experience. Short vacation in Ferrara and I ate 3 days in a row in this restaurant (always top mixed grilled meat!) Despite being a place that handles many covers a day, the smell is that of an ancient inn. Few traditional dishes but of an indisputable quality. The real plus of this restaurant is the service. Smiling staff, helpful and fast in service. A special applause to Katia who was always helpful and attentive to everything. I will definitely be back. Gianluca

I went here for lunch on the recommendation of my B&B. It is a rustic and traditional restaurant where you can taste Ferrarese specialties. Excellent, punctual and kind service. My cappellacci were exquisite!

Very friendly staff, very fast service. Excellent first courses: tortelli and cappellacci with homemade pasta. I recommend the nettle and ricotta tortelli with mascarpone sauce, speck and walnuts. Truly a pleasant discovery!

I discovered it by chance during a concert and I had a great time!!! Every dish is tasty and traditional and the location in the historic center wins! I will definitely be back! Thank you.

After a visit of an exhibition at Palazzo dei Diamanti, we tried this very nice Ferrara hostaria, namely to taste the famous Salama da Sugo. Good menue, a variety of wines in carafes, very fair prices. We enjoyed !

Antica osteria, posto ideale per provare i piatti tipici della cucina ferrarese: tortelli, salama da sugo ma soprattutto il pasticcio ferrarese. Per me è stata una rivelazione, me ne sono innamorata! Sul mio blog Per il Gusto di Viaggiare ho scritto un articolo dove racconto tutto quello che ho assaggiato.

07/07/2025: Stunning location, excellent food and super friendly service. Recommended, of course, the eel both in tagliolini and as a second course.
01/07/2025: Lovely location on the canal and atmospheric interior. Good food with plenty of local specialties like marinated eel and anchovies and nice chilled local wine. A little pricey but sometimes it's worth it.
