You have to start with the fact that it's a somewhat expensive and elegant restaurant. The portions are small for the price, but everything was very good, and I have no complaints. The food was delicious, the service was very pleasant, and the atmosphere was very nice. The spaghetti tart especially surprised me. I recommend going, but not on an empty stomach. It's not a place to fill up.

A truly lovely place. We sat on the other side because it offers a direct view of the castle next door. Everything we ordered was very good. The service was attentive and fast.

A prime location next to the castle and the statue of Savonarola, with outdoor tables under a portico. Good food, slightly slow service, but very helpful and courteous staff.

A typical inn in the city center, serving good food in just the right quantities. Affordable prices. Service was prompt at both lunch and dinner, even though all tables were occupied. Kudos to the wait staff.

After a visit of an exhibition at Palazzo dei Diamanti, we tried this very nice Ferrara hostaria, namely to taste the famous Salama da Sugo. Good menue, a variety of wines in carafes, very fair prices. We enjoyed !

Antica osteria, posto ideale per provare i piatti tipici della cucina ferrarese: tortelli, salama da sugo ma soprattutto il pasticcio ferrarese. Per me è stata una rivelazione, me ne sono innamorata! Sul mio blog Per il Gusto di Viaggiare ho scritto un articolo dove racconto tutto quello che ho assaggiato.

30/07/2025: Very nice and pleasant place, fast and friendly service. We went for the pizza, but there's also a fish and meat menu. The thin-crust pizza with a light and digestible dough is very good.

06/08/2025: It's one of my favorite restaurants, culinary-wise. They serve all kinds of dishes, and they're all incredibly delicious! From pizza to pasta dishes to seafood, everything is truly delicious. The waiters are always very kind and friendly. The only downside is that it's a bit noisy, but that's understandable, considering it's always busy, because the food is excellent and people notice!
