A safe stop if you are in the Frascati area, raw materials, variety of dishes, traditional recipes reign supreme. The room is managed with kindness, courtesy and smiles from times gone by. A wonderful discovery.

Hostaria Santa Maria is a charming spot in the heart of Frascati, offering a cozy and traditional atmosphere that reflects the local character. The service is undoubtedly a highlight, with the staff being friendly, hospitable, and attentive to guests’ needs. The menu features interesting options, but some dishes could use a bit of fine-tuning. For instance, the cappelletti in broth had an overly strong bergamot aroma, which overwhelmed the delicate flavors of the broth and the cappelletti, throwing the dish slightly off balance. The pasta with chickpeas was flavorful and delicious but far too brothy, whereas this dish is traditionally expected to be served as a dry preparation. While the taste was on point, the texture missed the mark slightly. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but with a few adjustments in the kitchen, this restaurant could truly shine. It’s a place worth visiting, with potential to elevate its offerings even further.

We had lunch in this welcoming trattoria on January 4th, I already knew it, we wanted to let some of our relatives from the Marche taste the Roman cuisine... a guarantee, as always topppp, we had a great time, particular praise to the owner Livia for the welcome and the introduce the dishes to us and to the chef Cristiano who produces delicious dishes in the kitchen, well done everyone!!! P.S...exceptional quality/price!!!

Proprietari molto accoglienti, tutti i piatti che abbiamo assaggiato erano abbondanti e saporiti. Pietanze della tradizione romana e qualche novità. Ottima la verza al forno. Ci hanno offerto le ciambelline al vino. Prezzi nella norma, ottimo servizio

Locale consigliato per gli ottimi piatti, cucina tipica romana e non solo, una lode ai dolci fatti in casa. L'ccoglienza ed il servizio di Livia ed il suo staff davvero top.
