A traditional Italian restaurant, frequented only by locals. They don't serve pizza, but traditional homemade Italian dishes. The atmosphere is that of a small restaurant serving its locals, unpretentious yet very professional. I was surprised by the kindness of Livia, the owner, who made me feel like a distinguished guest of her restaurant and took the time to explain the dishes she offers in detail. What began as a search for "something to snack on" ended in a gastronomic and cultural evening that I will surely remember forever.

Walking through the historic center of Frascati at a certain point we were captured by the good smell of food coming out of the Hosteria S.Maria restaurant, we immediately sat down enjoying excellent dishes of home-made cuisine typical of the place. We stopped by chance, at Osteria Santa Maria.
We couldn't have made a better choice, a very nice and typical place, the staff from the owner to the daughter to the chef, all very kind, very friendly and extremely helpful.
We ate divinely.
From the oxtail to the pajata, to the spaghettini alla puttanesca, not to forget the side dishes, chicory, artichokes and broad beans with "Roman" pecorino

Really nice and welcoming place, with impeccable service: kindness and attention have never been lacking. The menu is rich and varied, with dishes ranging from traditional proposals to daily specials. The prices are more than fair.
My girlfriend and I went for lunch and everything was delicious. At the end of the meal, together with the coffee, they offered us excellent biscuits and even gave us a discount, a much appreciated gesture.
We will definitely be back to try other options on the menu.

Questa hostaria è veramente eccezionale sotto ogni punto di vista, cibo molto curato e buono, ospitalità e cortesia. Se siete a Frascati non potete non far visita a questa Hostaria, mia moglie ed io ve la consigliamo.

Di passaggio a Frascati e volevamo qualcosa di tipico. Contento della scelta (fatta su suggerimento di alcuni anziani del posto incontrati per caso in piazza). A mio parere ingredienti genuini e molto gustosi. Ordinato una gricia, saltimbecco e patate al forno: tutto buonissimo accompagnato dal rosso della casa; ottimi anche i dolci (mousse di ricotta e pere e classico tortino al cioccolato). Quando sarò di nuovo a Frascati questa sarà una tappa sicura. Consiglio.
