For me, San Carlino is one of the best places in Bologna. A typical osteria, with friendly staff and very carefully prepared dishes. Prices are also reasonable. Last night, we had potato and zucchini flower pie, asparagus and lemon tortelloni, zucchini and speck passatelli, and a Bolognese cutlet with baked potatoes. Drinks included two glasses of red wine and water.

I had lunch here before continuing my journey to Bologna Airport. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for dessert. Maybe I ran out of room :-) I had: - Fiori di Zucca (I might like it better with a thinner, tempura-like batter) - Balanzoni in salsa verde al parmigiano - Tagliata di Chianina sal grosso e rosmarino and a pineapple salad. Everything was pure, fresh, and delicious! The dry red house wine was also delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful. I would love to go back!

Nice restaurant in a quiet area. Both the gramigna alla salsiccia and tortellini en brodo was good. Great service as well.

Quando passo da Bologna vengo volentieri presso questa osteria dall'aria familiare e dal buon cibo. Si conferma sempre nel tempo per l'ottima qualità. Squisita la tagliata e gli immancabili tortellini. Dolci squisiti: consiglio le raviole accompagnate dal vino passito. Top.

05/08/2025: A truly exceptional place! Everything is delicious, as is the service. Perfect for savoring typical Bolognese food in a quiet place. I highly recommend the vanilla ice cream dessert with Amarene Fabbri 😋😋
30/07/2025: My first meal in Bologna was a wonderful experience full of different flavors than I had tried before, it changed my idea of what Italian food is, we ordered very typical dishes of the city, it was the advice of those who served us and those who took me... the lasagna was nothing like what I had tried before... we liked everything and the lambrusco although it is not the type of wine I prefer allowed us to immerse ourselves in the culture of the city 😋😋😋 excellent recommendation SOLFERINO, also the place is very warm, with good service
