Possibly one of the best meals in Bologna. It was done very clean, simple, fresh in the best way. We ordered the tortellini soup, tagliatelle ragu, and pork dish, tomato salad on the side, and the best mascarpone all for sharing. Wine selection was top notch we got a Sangiovese romagna red wine. Thank you to Francesca for the best service, for being so intentional i. Making sure our orders were split into two to avoid any mess and the great food wine suggestions for me and my dad. Would definitely come back

It's a small and intimate setting. There's a section with small tables on the ground floor. Seating is limited to three people or more downstairs. There's also outdoor seating. We recommend the Balanzoni in salsa Verde al parmigiano. The staff is attentive and friendly.

We were there for lunch. We found the place by chance. But I have to say it was a truly great experience with Bolognese cuisine. The place is very cute, very well kept, and the staff was professional and very kind. The dishes we ordered were more than satisfactory and exceeded our expectations. A very good lunch. Highly recommended.

Not all food is equal in Bologna and I think Hosteria San Carlino is a great example of the type of establishment that has made Bologna famous food. Ordered the ragu lasagne and lemon tortellini with the house red and well... It caused a real perspective shift on what was possible. Incredible experience for a fair price.
