Excellent Roman restaurant with the atmosphere you'd expect. The family management is evident in the kindness and the way they handle things. The dishes are good and focus on flavor rather than aesthetics. The prices seem in line with the city. The little extras on offer are much appreciated.

A restaurant like it used to be, with simple yet high-quality cuisine and authentic flavors. Friendly and friendly owners, prompt and attentive service. The wood-fired grill is the main feature of the dining room, furnished simply but tastefully. Managed directly by the owner, it allows for truly flavorful meat dishes (though there's another, hidden fish grill). The cuisine is equally impressive: delicious first courses and side dishes, including the spaghetti cacio e pepe, which certainly deserves a special mention. I can't remember ever having tasted anything so good. The dessert selection is also excellent: we had a delicious rum baba and a fantastic torta della nonna, the latter homemade, with a world-class custard. The house wine, red and white, is good, and there's a varied selection of liqueurs and spirits. At this point, the bill would be a relatively minor detail... but even in this respect, the restaurant exceeded all expectations, offering us a very reasonable bill for the quantity and quality of the food we received. If we return to Rome, we will definitely dine at this excellent restaurant again!

The owners' courtesy is extraordinary: they serve you personally with a smile and are happy to share their little cooking secrets. The value for money is fair, and the atmosphere is truly authentic. A great, nice surprise: a Roman-style place in a quiet area.

A classic Roman inn in a quiet neighborhood near Sapienza University, with a friendly atmosphere from its owners (a lovely couple) and home-cooked, no-nonsense food that tastes heavenly. Good products, good service, good food, good wine, and a good price… few tourists and more regular customers from the neighborhood. The best spaghetti carbonara I've had in Rome was prepared here… highly recommended!

Conveniently located near the university area

I had bruschetta as an appetizer, followed by spaghetti carbonara: everything was truly amazing! But what struck me most was the kindness of the staff: welcoming, sincere, and they make you feel at home. And that, these days, is more important than anything!🫶

Interessante locale in una zona semicentrale della Capitale, un po’ defilato dai principali flussi turistici ma comunque in un’area a grande movimento di gente. Accoglienza e cordialità tipicamente romanesche: la cucina va di pari passo con piatti semplici, tradizionali, ben cucinati e presentati. I prezzi sono molto corretti per essere nella Capitale e anche in relazione alle porzioni, non certo ristrette. Carino anche il locale, stile ‘grottino’ caratteristico. Io provo l’abbacchio (ottimo) a 14 euro e un contorno di cicoria in padella, molto buona. Con il coperto, un’acqua piccola e un caffè (tutti a 1,50 euro l’uno) spendo per secondo e contorno 23,50 euro. Attimo il pane che servono. Consigliato.
