I'm very sorry that nothing remains of the Edmondo I knew in person years ago (atmosphere, friendliness, decor, dishes, prices) except the name.

A Roman restaurant that fully honors its culinary traditions. We've been twice and have found the daily specials to be consistently varied and well-prepared. Traditional staples like gricia and carbonara are truly delicious. The chef is a friendly person who demonstrates a passion for what she does. Highly recommended.

Hosteria Edmondo is a small restaurant located along the Circonvallazione Clodia, a short walk from the courthouse. Tables are located in the dining room and on the sidewalk near the entrance. The menu offers traditional Roman dishes. First courses include amatriciana, pasta sabbia, carbonara, and cacio e pepe; second courses include coda alla vaccinara, meatballs in tomato sauce, tripe, and chicken with peppers. All are well-made, as are the desserts. The red and white wines are house-produced. The wait staff is friendly and cheerful. The quality-price ratio is excellent.

Vera ottima hosteria, locale con pochi tavoli, ma quello che conta è il cibo, veramente molto buono, sia la carbonara, che la matriciana, la pasta con sugo della coda vacinara altrettanto buona, pasta caccio e pepe spettacolare. Molto buoni anche gli straccetti e spettacolare il maialino al forno. Non ultimo la gentilezza dei titolari.

07/09/2025: Stayed close by, and having read reviews decided to give it a go. An excellent and authentic Roman food experience. Great service, food and atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend as a go to if at this end of town one evening.
