After 21 years I returned to this restaurant. Everything is like 21 years ago: the delicious Roman cuisine, the typical environment where you feel at home and the kind, helpful staff, beautiful people. It seemed to me to return to a dream that I thought was lost. See you soon, I will not wait another 20 years to return.

Everything was excellent even if my grey sauce was not very creamy and there was cooking water

Excellent food, especially a broad fish menue. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the busy streets in trastevere. Only locals which is always a sign of good food.

We stayed in this historic trattoria in Trastevere, taking advantage of a short stay in this splendid neighborhood of Rome. A very lived-in place, different from other historic trattorias, which from my point of view, try a little too hard! We enter and are immediately greeted by the "unusual" professionalism of the staff who find us a table within 5 minutes. We ate divinely and expertly recommended, amatriciana and carbonara like I've never eaten in my life, lamb with exceptional potatoes, not to mention the chicory, garlic, oil and chilli pepper and Roman-style artichokes, all washed down with an excellent red.....the bill? I'm not saying this because that too was a surprise, paid even less than fair for what we ate, abundant dishes, in short, what can I say, A SHOW OF TYPICAL ROMAN TASTE. I can't wait to return

I took two first courses (carbonara and grey), the dishes were abundant but not very well prepared. The pastas were not very tasty and tied. Convenient that we did not have to book and the good service.

Pranzo di Pasquetta a due passi da Santa Maria in Trastevere. Un vero tuffo nel passato con locale vecchio tipo ma accogliente, personale diversamente giovane e che ne ha vista tanta di gente, proprio tanta. La semplicità è la qualità rendono unico questo ristorante dove si mangia bene e si ricorda il pranzo della domenica al ristorante. Ottimi i tonnarellu cacio e pepe, buoni ed originali i rigatoni "democratici" con crema di parmigiano e salsiccia sbriciolata finemente. Eccellente il carciofo alla romana. Visto passare abbacchio molto interessante. Porzioni generose e prezzi modici, anche per le bevande. Andateci senza riserve.

Typical Roman trattoria. We eat typical food. Tripe, lamb, amatriciana all delicious and plentiful. Fair prices. I came back after two years and I confirm everything. The food is good, plentiful and typical at fair prices. I took democratic rigatoni, spaghetti alla gricia, bucatini amatriciana and Roman artichokes.

I hope to return to Rome, to be able to return to this place. Spectacular! Rigatoni Democratici is surely the best pasta dish I have ever eaten in my life. The carbonara was also delicious and for dessert the tiramisu had a brutal coffee flavor. They took great care of us. The place, although it does not attract attention from the outside, we loved it inside, there is a local atmosphere. If there are more than two of you, I recommend booking.
