Very nice place on a quiet street, good food ,lovely people.

A very nice restaurant, the main dishes are very tasty, in a small street in the middle of the city.

During our week-long stay in San Gimignano, we had the pleasure of discovering Osteria Baccano. Their Florentine steak was a revelation, as were their pasta dishes, cured meats, and typical Tuscan cheeses. But what struck us most was the hospitality and friendliness of the staff, who made us feel right at home. We loved it so much that we returned several times during our stay, and each time was a delightful experience. We highly recommend Osteria Baccano to anyone visiting San Gimignano!

A very quaint osteria in the alleys of San Gimignano. Very good Florentine steak and baked potatoes, too. Excellent value for money.

Not terrible, but not great either. The atmosphere is charming and quaint, and the location is very convenient. I don't know if we came on the wrong day when they were short on waiters, but we waited about ten minutes to be seated despite the small number of people in the room. Once seated, we waited a long time to order, and the waiters all seemed in a rush but also very disorganized. The dishes were good; the tagliolini with truffle and pecorino cheese were very good, the pappardelle with venison and porcini mushrooms was so-so due to the very thin pasta, and the grilled steak was good but average. The baked potatoes we ordered as a side dish were inedible; they seemed defrosted or reheated from the day before, dry and tough. The tiramisu was just not up to par. Overall, the prices were average, but you can certainly eat much better for the same price elsewhere. An experience that's neither good nor bad.

My family and I spent a week in San Gimignano, and on our first night we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. We returned for the rest of our vacation. The food is excellent, with generous portions and seasonal produce. The staff is professional, attentive, and very courteous and friendly. In this osteria, you can find a little piece of Tuscany with its traditional dishes and ambiance. Thank you so much for your hospitality and courtesy.

Bella osteria tipica, con personale cordiale e disponibile. Buoni piatti tradizionali, consigliato vivamente il cinghiale, da accompagnare con uno degli ottimi vini disponibili. Prezzi in linea e rapporto con la qualità offerta ottimo.
