The premise is that the service does its best, and we appreciated that. But there were a number of things that really left us perplexed. The first discordant note: the music. A place that presents itself as so refined can't offer background music worthy of a piano bar playlist. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't satisfying either. The worst thing was the chef's behavior: our table was right next to the kitchen, and we heard a series of curses and profanities directed at the assistant chef, who was clearly a novice. Finally, dessert: fortunately, it was kindly taken off our bill, but bringing the wrong crème caramel because someone forgot to include the sugar is embarrassing. Finally, the bill was quite substantial.

Excellent food, beautiful location. Romantic yet fresh and contemporary. Perfect for many occasions. The staff is extremely kind and attentive.

Great appearance on the first sight, because of stylish location, but: - The lasagne was cold in the middle - the waiters are friendly, but neither of him would ask to refill the wine glasses so we did it ourselves - the food was ok but given the location and pricing, the evening was a disappointment

03/04/2025: Fuimos a Casa Bonita en nuestra última visita a Venecia hace 3 años y no podía esperar a volver con nuestros amigos. No decepcionó - una cálida bienvenida encantadora de vuelta de todos y, por supuesto, una comida maravillosa. Compartimos un entrante con vieiras extra que estaba delicioso. Nuestros amigos tenían la lubina al horno de sal y tuvimos el rodaballo (tuvimos que hace 3 años también y era igual de bueno). Gran recomendación de vino y una noche maravillosa. Volveremos en nuestra próxima visita a Venecia.
23/02/2025: Ogni volta che vado a Venezia, questo ristorante è una tappa fissa! Lontano dal caos turistico, qui si può godere di un’atmosfera tranquilla e di una cucina davvero eccellente. I paccheri con capesante e crema di pistacchio sono semplicemente eccezionali, un piatto che vale da solo la visita. Il personale è sempre gentilissimo e attento, rendendo l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Super consigliato per chi cerca buon cibo e un po’ di relax a Venezia!

Trattoria Il Vagone

31/10/2025: This is a nice place with good food, hidden away from the main street, but conveniently near the train station. We had steak, tagliatelle bolognese and sea bass (which came with delicious vegetables), all freshly cooked. The staff was nice and attentive.
29/10/2025: Such amazing food. Seafood is fresh and well cooked. Service was so so good they gave us 3 bread baskets and a coke for free!! Highly recommend the fried calamari and the shrimp with red orange pasta!!
